In other news, there's a rumor that SU is coming back on Thanksgiving. So if anybody has any confirmation, you'd be making me quite happy!

I doubt it.. CN doesn't usually show premieres on Thanksgiving (presumably because, as it's a holiday, people would be less likely to watch it and thus the ratings would be low). Where did you hear that?

I assume I'm not the only one here who's been keeping up with SU? My husband and I watched the newest episode from last week last night... poor Steven. He has it so rough.

I absolutely love that he got all his frustration, confusion and anger out by confronting Rose (even if it wasn't really her). I think he needed to do that for his own sake. It must suck to grow up never knowing the kind of person- er...gem, your mother was, but to only have pieces of her personality to put together according to those who interacted with her. If it weren't for Bismuth or the Diamonds, Steven would only ever hear the nice things about Rose.

On a lighter note, I got a laugh out of him saying that he's considered dying his hair pink on more than one occasion.

I've been keeping up too, and watching leaks and such. That episode killed me Renia, it was so sad but it was a really important development for Steven!

I'm also glad to see Connie back, I missed her

Connie is great. I love her! The words she came up with for that Mad Libs type game they were playing...

Also, I'm pretty sure we still need a theme song/opening for the "new" Crystal Gems from the previous episode. That was hilarious.

Oh heck no! The writing would have to take a huge nosedive for me to stop watching, and even then I don't think I'd stop. We're in too deep now, you guys.

That was powerful. I love how this show can go from silly moments, like them playing catch with the football, to tear inducing moments in just a few short minutes, but still make it feel so fluid.

I tried to explain Steven universe to my friend in an attempt to convert her to the fandom... she went off more confused about fusion, a dead mother, bird mothers, corruption, diamonds and wondering: how the *squee* can a metal (bismuth) be a gem? She's a metal! It says so on the periodic table of the elements!

Thats exactly that I told my partner. Its so fluid and for only being a 10 min episode there is so much story and emotions. It never feels rushed and always leaves you wanting more and yet feeling satisfied. Like you want more because you love it, not you want more because its lacking.

I think the writing is very clever, and I LOVE that they tackle some pretty intense stuff.

Good to see this thread making a comeback. I've seen a lot of people abandon this show but I've always stuck around, can't wait for tomorrow!
