Tiny brag from me!! Last week I went to one of my favorite retro toy stores in the area, and My Pretty Pony has been there for a while (started going to this store sometime last fall). I decided it was finally time to break her out and take her home with me! The guy who runs the shop is really nice and I go in a lot, so he gave me a good discount (was $50 USD and he took it down to $35 USD). I'm not at my house currently so I do not have any pictures, but only issues with her is that she has some paint scuffs, her hair is a little crunchy, and her mechanism is broken (might have to open her up and see what time problem is and if it's an easy fix or not). Really excited to have her in my collection and she marks my 50th original G1 pony!!

I'm very new to custom making and was curious where everyone got blank HQG1C ponies? I recently got one from AHorseOfEveryColor on Etsy, and I can't wait to start working on her! All in all, just curious if there were other places to get these blank ponies!

I just recently got myself a bookcase from Ikea and I was wondering what everyone uses to better display ponies? I'm looking at acrylic risers but also wanted to know if there was anything cheaper I could use that still looked nice! Pictures and links very much appreciated!!

Oh my goodness, it’s Minty Day!! (also known as St. Patrick’s Day) I drew a little something quick for her, I don’t do the G1 style too often, but she’s cute and deserved it! Artwork is under the spoiler because it’s a large image and I’m on mobile, hope that’s ok!! If anyone has any art of Minty they’d like to add for Minty Day, I’d love to see!! We can use this thread as a big sketch dump for her!

Lottie.London just dropped their collab with My Little Pony G5 and of course they DON’T ship to the US!! I was wondering if anyone could possibly be able to hook me up with a few items from the collab and ship to the states? I am willing to pay anything extra in shipping as well as the item costs (of course)

I am planning on making my sona as a custom and was looking for a Glory in baity condition!! Only thing I do not want in a bait Glory would be pen/marker marks and missing body parts like hooves or the horn. All else is fair game! She doesn't even need to have her cutie marks or hair!!
PLEASE reach out if you have a baity Glory or even a baity Baby Glory!! Much appreciated!

I went to Five Below (a store full of goodies for $5 or cheaper) the other day and snagged these G4.5 ponies! I grabbed Fizzleshake and Gusty. I decided to make them look like themselves again, the G1 versions! This was my first 'custom' job and I think I did ok. Let me know what you all think! Posting a before and after photo! BEFORE AFTER

I am starting to get more and more into fixing up ponies, and I was trying to find a list of pony colors that are safe to UV box with peroxide and couldn't find a full list.
Does anyone know what G1 pony colors are safe to do peroxide on and which ones are not? Is UV light exposure in a concealed box different than sun fading?

I've tried looking on the MLP Preservation Project website for some curling tips, but everytime I follow those, the curls never stay and fall right out by the next day or so! I don't want to put any styling gel or hairspray on the ponies, so I'm looking for some help on what you all do to get those amazing curls!! Thank you for the help!

I got my scheming little hands on some Shrinky Dink paper and was messing around with it last night. Powder was the result! I was thinking about doing a pony for each season (probably Gusty for fall, Posey for spring, and Seashell for summer?) and switch them out on my keys! (Marking as spoiler because I’m on mobile at work and can’t resize so the picture is huge, I will change the size when I get home)
