Hello everyone! My name is Maria and I hail from snowy (at this moment) Maine. I am the Manager of a national-chain auto parts store and I love EVERYTHING to do with the '80s! The music, the clothes and especially the toys! I used to have a Pony collection to rival the best, but alas, we hit "teenage" years and think we need to offload a lot of our childish things. You then become an adult and discover the kid stuff is SO where it's at! I have a few Ponies left from childhood, mostly babies, one flutter pony and a bunch of spare pieces to playsets, outfits, and other such items.
I am also a prominent member, admin and 2013 Convention Chair of http://www.jemcon.org. Jem dolls make up my largest collection, so if anyone remembers or wants to know more about Jem, feel free to come check us out, too! ;)
I was told about this site by one of my fellow JemCon members (she is Fairy Dust there, not sure of her name here...Hi Jamie!) and thought I would come over and check it out, do some browsing and share some of my knowledge (and spare Pony pieces, lol) with you fine folks. I am also a Monster High fan and am looking forward to meeting others.
Thanks,
Maria

Welcome to the arena :) I was the same way when I become a teen also. But the good thing is my mom took all of it and hide in her basement. I am very happy she did that.

Welcome to the Arena! I've been really interested in Jemcon! Maybe someday ...

JemCon takes up a lot of my time but I have been having a poke around and am liking what I see! I think I just spent about 4 hours over on the Monster High forum looking at the wonderful CAM pictures, lol!
Thank you avene1984 and Eviecorn (love the Blind Melon lyric) for the warm welcome!

:newpony: and welcome to the Arena. So do you plan to add any new ponies to those childhood buddies left? I am not familiar with Jem Dolls (child of the '60's/'70's) but if I find any I know who to ask now.

I totally agree, the 80's were the best! I only caught the tail-end (born in '88) but I love nothing more than 80's music.
