Pony Life Trailer!

As I said on Twitter, it seems like it's going to be more focused on whacky comedy than any of the previous generations' shows, including FiM - all of the previous generations, for all the differences, still managed to create the same "feel" for me, like they could fit together ultimately.  This seems more of a silly show done purely for a specific type of comedy, but I will see how it goes when I actually see an episode - there's always a chance that there's actually more MLP-esque moments, but they got shafted in the trailer for the comedy, like when you see a movie trailer and it's only the "funny" moments, then you find out the movie had more to it.

It doesn't look like Teen Titans GO! to me at all, personally.

I do understand the fears of it being a cash grab, though - like they're afraid of letting G4 go because it's been so successful (I know that the previous generations were successful too.)

It does seem like a strange decision either way, at best it will be a bit of harmless fun, I guess, or maybe so bad it's good like Newborn Cuties (in my opinion)?  If I end up finding it completely bad, then it's easily avoided - we still have all the MLP shows we do like at the end of the day, which in my case is all of them up to FiM (up to now?)

I'll still give the show a chance though.

Sooo it gives me a kind of a PowerPuffs feel mixed with a different art style of sorts, they also seemed to have brought in some more modern elements (like more updated technology). Also Celestia has a different voice or is that just me? She sounds off to me.

Maybe I've been in quarantine for too long, but I'm kinda excited. I enjoyed FiM, and even thought chibi-style isn't really my thing, they seem dynamic and vibrant. If I were six, I would want to watch this...and nothing makes me happier than little ones enjoying ponies ^_^

idk if anyone else has mentioned this but AJ seems to have a habit of breaking the fourth wall. I get the vibe that she'll be a narrator or something.

This seems like it is definitely for very young children (younger than FiM) and definitely a cash grab to just try and milk the last little drops out of G4. :/

I do also agree it just seems really obnoxious like a lot of modern cartoons are now. They try so hard to "over the top" and "wacky" that is just comes off as really cringy.

But maybe that's just me getting old and crotchety. lol.

It definitely lost all feeling of MLP for me. I was never into the FiM show too much but I still thought it was a good addition to the MLP universe, and modernized it in a tasteful way.

Maybe I'll change my mind, like others said, these are only intros.

Ha, can't say I wasn't expecting so many negative responses but  I get it, at least it's just the one season!
I still think they're charming little fellas. Thinking of it more like an abridged series/parody may help.

TTG has some self aware jokes, I wonder if Pony Life will be self aware that it is a dumbed down cash grab

I did notice at the end of the trailer Twilight says "You have to admit, it looks good!" which to me seemed to be aimed at the audience watching. I wouldn't be surprised if it has a bunch of self-aware jokes and references to the brony community.

After seeing those "meet the character" videos... I'm even less sure about this.

The animation style isn't growing on me... quite the opposite, actually. The inclusion of modern technology... I suppose was going to be in some incarnation of MLP at some point... but still doesn't feel right. The whole thing just looks too spastic for my liking. Too... modern(?) almost. Just overall doesn't feel at all like MLP.

Still too early for final judgement? Probably. But hey, I’m definitely not the show’s target audience.

Also is it me or does Rarity (in particular) talk way too fast? It's hard to understand what she's saying much of the time.

I’m still excited for this! It looks fun. Sometimes it’s nice to have something simple to throw on in the background. Not everything has to be a masterpiece yah know? I know the G3 cartoons were not very well written or deep, but they’re like a comfort thing for me. That’s kind of how I’m viewing this series as well. The art is cute and fun to look at.

I also don’t mind the use of modern technology in the show. It will age the show pretty bad in time, but oh well. This was never meant to be a big production I don’t think! I’m just taking it for what it is!
