anyways...shopping at Michaels (aka my happy place) and I just happened to find a can of this. I got the matte and will try it out tonight. I will let you know how it goes ^_^

I'm def. against. The Matte isn't matte *enough* for me. My biggest problem is the SMELL. Maybe it's just me but my god is it terrible. I HAVE to do it outside, I can not use it inside at all. I don't mind other chemical smells but that spray makes me feel ill. If I use it at all, it's just because I can't stand to let the whole can just go to waste.

The Good thing I WILL give it; when I used it on a gift for my mother (painted wooden plant accessory) she kept it outside all the way into winter. It never faded nor did the sealer fail to protect it from the rain etc.

I know exactly what you mean. The matte is still a bit shiny which I don't like at all.

Personally I like the little bit of sheen that the matte mod podge leaves. Of course I like shiny to begin with ^_^
