MLP on CNN"s Erin Burnett Out Front!

I was just listening to CNN when I hear Erin Burnett say "My Little Pony" and I squealed, ran around the house telling everyone that MLP was on the news, then ran back for the segment! She was talking about Bronycon (is that different from the MLP fair??) and how MLP is now attracting adults - both men and women. They even showed an Erin Burnett pony - AKA Rarity with brown hair

BronyCon just happened last weekend in NY. MLP Fair this weekend in Florida, and SD Comic Con next week... so many conventions for pony fans!

Apparently Brony is becoming a subculture. It's weird to see a subculture that isn't based on fashion or music!

It was pretty obvious that she was walking on eggshells with this story. She seemed a little unsure of herself, but it was fun to listen to the broadcast and it's nice to see Bronies get put in a more positive light. Bronycon got quite a bit of coverage this year. This is the second major news story we've seen! It will be fun to continue to see Bronycon grow and to get the positive coverage it deserves.

Aww, I liked that! Most mentions of anything pony or "brony" related on the news lately have seemed to have a negative and condescending tone to them, but this was nice.

I WAS WATCHING THE SAME THING!  Only I was by myself in a hotel room with no one to tell because my husband is currently in training somewhere else.  I was going to post on the Arena as well, but then thought maybe someone else already had   I didn't realize there was a Bronycon in New York last weekend...how could I have missed that?

It's the Brony Phenomenon with FiM. It creates a ton of "shock value" because the general public is generally, well, shocked by the fact that FiM has attracted so many male fans of older ages.
