I still don't know how to fix the little gap in the neck that I sometimes get when I make customs. I do slice the inner part of their neck so the plugs are easier to get in, but still I get this little gap...

Nice work! Tealove is one of my favourites too!
As for gap, that's how I solved it: when I'm finished with the body and tail, I glue plug back to the neck. That way you can be sure that plug is in correct position. And only after glue completely dried, attach head.
