Apparently I'm assuming Hasbroken licensed out gen 4 characters to a bunch of places in hopes of milking out more cash from FiM fans. There is only some many ways they can do this and yeah it's getting old...

Aw, I think the little fluffy plushies are kinda cute. At least they're something a bit different (in style if not characters ). Is that an Apple Bloom? That's nice, you never see merch of her. I'm sick of the G4 characters too but I guess I understand why we're getting merch of the main characters instead of random ones, and if they can still make money off the G4 license then I can see why they would do so *shrug* it's not really any different from the retro G1 stuff really.

Mostly I'm just tired of seeing ONLY licensed stuff

I agree different G4 characters would have been nice like G3 until core 7 came.
If you don't want to see licensed stuff, go into the world of plushie makers It's a pain for your wallet for good quality haha.

Oh, I checked for these yesterday at my local Walmart (central Connecticut) and found they had a lot, so I picked me up one!

Since the Kotobukiya thread was closed, thought I'd post it here; YouLoveIt is reporting that Princess Cadance and Queen Chrysalis are next up for the MLP Bishojo treatment!

I'm SUPER hyped for Cadance!!! I already have Princess Luna, who was a MUST HAVE, and I can't wait to see how Cadance looks!

Chryssy & Cadance getting a Kotobukiya release is exciting! I didn't know they were still releasing MLP. I hope for a Sunset Shimmer re-release in a natural skintone to eventually get made.

Maybe their idea is to keep G4 going for the adult fanbase so that they can keep G5 detached from them and geared towards kids?

It is quite impressive that G4 figures continue to come out after all that time. Must still be a big enough market for it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're also capitalising on a market that 'grew up' with the cartoons. The figures are gorgeous, and safe for work, so work for a wide range of collectors who can afford them.
