Learning Japanese: Study Group *Sign ups End Closed*

In my original post I was seeking a study partner. Due to the number of responses I an now forming a study group. This is not a course, there is no teacher. If you are fluent in Japanese and would like to help, you are welcome. There will be study material and resources. I'd like to use another website for our studying so we don't clutter up the board. We will have and update thread though. More information will be available later this week.

i have been teaching myself japanese for w while, but still havent learned a lot.  My bf has taken japanese in highschool and i have a friend who is almost fluent, so I can help!!!  I need someone to help keep me on track! lol!! ^_^  <3

I've been trying to teach myself. So far I've learned Hiragana and katakana and some kanji. I have been trying to go by the JLPTs.

I might be interested. I'm roughly the same level as you (Katakana and Hiragana yes, Kanji still learning), but also like you, I'm forgetful and easily sidetracked... I haven't even finished the DS game I got for learning Japanese either

I've gotten more replies than I expected. Maybe we could make a group? I found a site called Thinkbinder.com that looks interesting. It is used for online study groups.

I took Japanese for two years in college, but now that I've been out for a year, I'm starting to forget a lot. I'd be down for studying if you don't have too many people already

Yup, another easily sidetracked person here I´d love to join in as I´m pretty much on the same level (had it for a year an a half at the university) however I´m still dealing with Icelandic :S Silly as it sounds, I find Icelandic much harder and much less fun to learn than japanese
But if you end up making a group, let me know and I might join in ^^ in any case, good luck!!

I was thinking about doing the signups here. I found a really cool study group website too. It has like a news feed, a calendar, chat and video chat, file storage and a whiteboard. I could have a separate thread here though for things like updates. I just dont want to clutter up the board.
