Kcherry, do you have to be extra careful in finding homes for them, because of the fur?  The bunny rescue I volunteer for is always flooded with lion-head bunnies because people think they are so cute, but they don't know how much extra care the fur takes to maintain.  So many of them are bought by teenagers who think they are cute for a year, and then they decide they are too much work, and lose interest.  It's really frustrating!  They usually go through pet stores, and buy them on impulse, though, not through private breeders.

I bred my rabbits once (well, I had a male, my friend bought me a female, and one day she busted out and they bred themselves).  It was the cutest thing ever, but I found that finding good homes for all 7 babies was really stressful.

I hear you guys who are allergic; I have recently discovered that I am slightly allergic to the Rexy fur. I've never had issue with my Lionhead, but if I don't wash after handling my Rex doe and then I rub my eye.... OhMigosh! Talk about Red-Eye! LOL After making this mistake the other day the hubby told me that I looked like "Mad Eye Moody" with a red eye instead of blue!

  Not really, BCD. I do put it across to the individuals who are buying that these rabbits may or may not require daily/weekly grooming (some are always floofier than others) and I extend the opportunity to address any concerns or questions that they may have, but I have never had anyone come back to me with questions. I have decided to start screening a little with the next litter just to get rid of those people who aren't serious about making the commitment to my baby buns.
   I'm happy with the individuals who took in this litter and hope to be as blessed with the next.
