Anyone ever buy from Russia?

I figured since there were those Russian Chupa Chups pony figures that someone here might have experience ordering stuff from Russia. There are these dolls I want and I have little faith they will be sold outside of Russia.

It seems like a difficult country to buy from. I've tried in the past to look for Russian shipping agencies that fulfill worldwide orders but I haven't had any luck. I was trying to get Russian talking Fluttershy for the longest time :\ I'll be stalking this thread to see if any useful info pops up from other members

I bought a custom Applebloom plush from someone on eBay before, and after a little more than a month, it went MIA and hasn't been seen since. They made me a new one, and that one got here safely. My seller was super friendly and I enjoyed communicating with her despite the bumps in the road, but I don't think it is a country I'd buy from again.

Well what I want is at a Russian online store so I have no doubts about them being trustworthy. It's how do I even order in the first place that's confusing. And can they even ship to the US or would I somehow need to find someone in Russia the receive it and then send it to me.

I personally have never bought from there but I have had several HORRIBLE selling experiences. I think it was due to their customs but I finally blocked my listings on eBay because of it.
