The boil water notice has been lifted for my area 😁

I have a Brita filter on my faucet. But it doesn’t filter out bacteria and viruses. I actually didn’t know we had a boil notice for two days and was drinking the water. I’m lucky I didn’t get sick. The boiled water tasted disgusting though. My niece brought me a case of bottled water but I don’t like using them because my complex doesn’t have a recycling container.

Anyway, now I can use the filter again.

Woke up early, so I called my best friend (she works night shifts, so she's always up at night-morning). I saw that one of our mutual friends was awake, so we made it a group call, then another friend of ours also joined. So, I got to start my day off surrounded by friends.  :)

That turtle is really cute!

I HAVE INTERNET! :cheer: :hearts: :frolic:

I spent the day at my parents house and when I got home my modem was blinking green! It cycled a few times but finally settled on white and stayed there. So I am now on my PC!

I was looking up an anime at the Internet Movie Database and this part in the Parent's Guide made me laugh:

"The Japanese version contains the Japanese word for 'idiot.' which is considered rude/ equivalent to cursing in Japanese, but not in other languages."

I learned the Japanese word for idiot from the Ace of Diamond anime.

I wanted a Halloween costume for my Miraculous Ladybug collection but didn't want to pay full price for one.  I was hoping there might be one left after Halloween, but I thought they had all been sold.  Today I saw a few costumes that were 50%. I started looking through them and found a Cat Noir costume. The cashier told me that all sales were final on Halloween costumes, and I couldn't return it.  I told her that was okay and I still wanted to buy the costume.  It's a child's size costume so  I'm not going to be trying to wear it. I just wanted it for my collection.

Also, an Amazon package that was supposed to arrive tomorrow came today. :)

I had to order the new Pokemon themed switch online and I wasn't sure if I got my order in early enough but they updated my order with a tracking number!  So my new Switch is on the way to me, which is good because apparently most places sold out almost instantly to bots buying for scalpers.

My new Switch came today in the mail.  And this afternoon I got a call from Smith's Marketplace (where I'd looked for it on release day) and they finally got theirs in.  They were willing to hold one for me if I still wanted it.  So I told them I had managed to find one somewhere else and to release that one because I know people were looking for them.  I guess if I'd wanted to drop another $380 (after tax) I could have gotten a second one to sell at a higher price later but that's not my style.  Instead, I told my friend where she could get one since she had shown interest in the Switch when I showed her the pictures online.

I have not gotten the new Switch up and running yet.  I've told myself I have to do my chores (like laundry) and get my Nanowrimo word count caught up tomorrow before I'm allowed to play with it.  I'm about 8k words behind but if I get into a groove it shouldn't take me too long.  I might even stay up writing for a while longer tonight just to see if I can get any words done until I'm too tired to stay awake.  I write better at night anyway.

Completed the first part of my knitting project, except the thread sewing, so now working on the second part of it, to do all the thread sewing at the same time (because I know I do work in phases like that). But seeing how well everything is turning out is awesome!!!

My mom bought me a new blanket today for my bed.  I was having to use the one I keep on the couch during the day on the bed at night, but I would forget to move it back and forth and it would always not be where I wanted it.  Today she bought me one I can keep on the bed.
