Got a four-day weekend for Easter! Yippee!
Also crashing out after work with a cup of tea and some brioche, the window's open and I can hear birds singing and church bells ringing in the distance. It's very relaxing. :relaxed:

One of my favourite bands have just released a new single, and I'm so in love with it, listening to it over and over again :frolic:

I nipped into a couple of charity shops today on my way into town, and found this cute little clock for £2.50! I love how it kind of looks like it's levitating when you see it from across the room. :D

That clock is really cute!

I randomly paid a visit to the town I used to work in this morning as the bus was in when I got to town. It is a very pretty town especially at this time of year, and takes its flowers very seriously as well. Nostalgic trip :) And especially in the fine weather the UK is suddenly having for Easter.

Posting a day late -
went to a massive boot sale yesterday, near Uxbridge, with my kid, it took 2.5 hours to walk around all the stalls and my kid did not whinge!
Got her lots of (6) Shopkins Shoppies dolls for a few quid and a bag full of g4 ponies + playsets. Oh and some minecraft books too!

Glorious sunshine - followed by a lovely evening with friends for a curry!

Thank you, Taffeta! :)

As for what made me smile today: My dad came round for an indoor picnic in lieu of a more traditional dinner, because I didn't feel like cooking, nor did either of us fancy being cooked by the blazing sunshine! We had lunch on a blanket in the living room, watched Odyssey to the Mind's Eye and then took turns doing matches in arcade mode on Tekken 3, so we could unlock more secret characters. Good times! :D

When hubby came home from work, we went for a walk to the pond down the road, there were only a couple of other people there and they were fishing so not in the least bit noisy.  We sat down and enjoyed the view, the weather and each others company for about 20 minutes before walking home again

That clock is gorgeous Miniature Sheep! Lovely find! :)

Despite how unlucky I've been today, we get a 4 day weekend starting Friday!
Friday is our study at home day, weekend, no work placements Monday due to exams.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday is our exam and then we only go in to catch up on course work- I can't believe how fast this academic year has gone :P

We had our four day Easter weekend last weekend. Oh! But we have some Japanese exchange students in our school right now as part of a two week program. I approached one of them in math class, and asked her name in Japanese. Her face lit up like a light bulb when she realized I wasn’t some random kid, but could hold somewhat of a conversation with her. Her smile was contagious, that’s for sure.
This. Sentence. Is. False! Dontthinkaboutitdontthinkaboutit.

Preparing notes to teach my revision class today and while I'm doing so, two pigeons randomly appeared on (the outside of) my windowsill. One was clearly in courting mood but the other not so convinced. They looked at me, I looked at them, and then they left. It's so cute when birds come visiting ;)

Back home I have had a baby sparrow get in my room by accident, and sparrows and even bluetits on the quarterlight or windowsill, but this is the first time I've had feathered visitors in London.

We have spend yesterday and today putting some floating shelves up both in the living room and our bedroom (Where a lot of the ponies live)

It made me smile seeing it all finished and the ponies in their new places  :)

My mom and I went to a vintage/antique store today and there was a booth of G1 MLPs. After we left the store, I couldn't resist it anymore. I told her I like them.

I know that sounds silly. But this would have to come completely out of the blue, as post-childhood I have never shown interest in collecting toys. I have just shown interest in clothes, video games, and of course, musical instruments. So, it's out of the blue for me to be interested in MLPs. I was afraid she would think it silly that I like to collect toys as an adult.

I was a little wrong! She didn't even seem shocked, told me that I'm not weird. And she told me that I played with them when I was a little child, and that there might be some out in the garage somewhere.  I have literally no recollection of that, so I just found out something new about myself. I still can't say that I continued interest in MLP from then like many here, but I can say I was interested in them in my childhood. Wow.

We'll have to look into the garage, and I'm so excited because now I can tell her I want the G1 ornaments, the special anniversary throwback toys they've come out with recently, and when I find them at antique/vintage stores I can get them!  :frolic:
