For Sale - For Auction / Re: Blank Giant Project Pony for Auction
« on: December 11, 2020, 08:09:51 PM »
Is there an opening bid yet?  If not, I'll start at $100.  Thanks! :)

ETA -  Also, I had a few questions related to the auction itself. :nerdy:  What time will you stop taking bids?  Will you allow a previous high bidder to bid again after the time expires, if someone else bids higher right at auction's end, OR should bidders PM you their highest potential automatic bid (like ebay)?  Thanks again!

That is an excellent question.
I suppose if two people are in a bidding war at the end then highest potential automatic bid would be the way to go? So that the person who bid last wouldn't feel like it was taken out from under them? I have never run a manual auction before so it is very new to me.

and bidding is open until 8 p.m. central time on Dec 15th, I will edit the original post to reflect that and the current bids.

Wow!! Incredible ❤️ Where are you located in the US?

North Central Texas :)

I have a Giant project pony that is in need of a new home. I believe it is a v1 and has 3 rows of hair plugs.
It does have some yellowing around the neck and a touch on the face.

Admittedly, I have not run an auction before, so correct me if I make mistakes, but -

Starting Price: $100
Bids in a minimum increment of $10

First bid - $100 - CH
- $150 - Private

Current Bid: - $160 - CH

Pony was won at a bid of $160 (with an ebay style max bid in reserve had the bidding continued)

It is quite large, so I am setting shipping at $20

I forgot to mention! I am accepting bids until 8:00 p.m. central time on 12/15 <3

I am happy to add any other pictures anyone reasonably requests.

Pony Corral / Re: Whitening when the usual methods are not an option?
« on: December 17, 2018, 05:27:22 PM »
I will try to get some pictures up soon, but I have a giant project pony blank that has some yellowing on the neck and around an eye. Kept in a dark room in a non-smaoking home and all that. It is also Winter where I am, so not real sure about sunfading...

I would like to clean it up a bit before I sell it...

I promise I did do a cursory search of the forum.

If submerging the pony in Hydrogen Peroxide or using Zit Cream is not really feasible, what is the next best way to whiten a white pony that has yellowed?

I tried typing in "whitening" but just got the hydrogen peroxide treatment.

Thanks all.
I suppose I will get her cleaned up, take photos, and list her for sale.

You are talking about the G3 pony project blank correct.
I am curious which version you have. How many rows of hair does she have in her mane?
Yellowing seems to be more common in the first version so far as I can tell.

Yes, it is the G3 Project pony blank. She has three rows of hair.

Hello all,

It has been quite some time since I have ventured into the arena, but I think it is time to let other people have a chance to enjoy items in my collection that have been hiding in a box for some time...

Could anyone give me an idea of what the roughly 18" giant blank ponies are going for these days? It has a smidge of yellowing around its mane, but I have not taken the magic eraser to it yet.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival is in Waxahachie, Texas.

And I was in the shell once a day, but there was lightening so we were sitting outside the lagoon when they brought the unicorn by.

I know I am not around the forum much these days... only buying the occasional pony that catches my eye, but I thought I would resurface to share this with you guys.

I find it relevant to the interests of those on the forum ;)

Yep yep, I meant the giant blanks. I apologize for not being more clear.
