we're at the very end of 2023, and with inspiration from Carrehz' 2023 recap thread, I want to ask you all:
What are your collecting goals for 2024?

Do you have a wishlist going into the new year? Are you upgrading your shelves? Focusing more on a specific generation - or are you downsizing?

I want to hear your thoughts going into the new year!



Personally, I'm planning to *pony more*.
Engage more in my collecting, picking customizing back up, going through and doing spa tretaments for a lot of my ponies...

I want to finally make a binder, where I can keep a physical wantlist, art I've received (like all my ATCs!) over the years, pony pamphlets and instructions, etc. A bunch of my IRL pony friends have made binders like these, and I love the idea!

I'll make sure to put aside a little pony budget for myself in 2024. I haven't bought myself ponies (other than the odd 2nd hand find) in years.

Meeting up with my pony friends more, and maybe even attend the swedish Ponyfest for the first time.

Finally, making a proper wishlist including more than g1. I have a draft in my notes, but I'm making that physical list ^^

Hi ponies!

So, I'm looking for a planner for next year. I've been doing bullet journalling since 2016, I think, and I need a break.
Last year (and I think before that?) there were pony planners.
(like this one that's on amazon)

I've been looking around and I can't seem to find one for next year - am I missing something or are we indeed not getting a pony planner?
I can find wall calendars but that's not interesting ^^'

Also, if anyone has used the pony planners of past years - did you like them? was the quality ok?

Hi peeps!
I've got a quick question for styling custom hair. Is there any sort of gel (or glue/spray that will work like gel) that would work with nylon hair? For instance, for keeping a rolled fringe in place. I've never done a style that has required gel before, but I have one now that would benefit from something to keep the hair in place.
I'm assuming gel for humans is a no-go, as it contains oils and such. ^^'

I've been in a super creative mood lately, and got a tablet upgrade FINALLY (been on a really old Wacom bamboo for the past 12-13 years, and it's literally been falling apart... Got a Huion kamvas, and suddenly art is FUN!!! Woo!)

Next up we have some anime art
I've been wanting to pick up my anime/manga style again, I haven't drawn in that style since.... over 10 years ago, I don't think, other than very occasionally, and never really good. These aren't great, either, but it's all a learning process isn't it, and I feel like I'm finding my style more and more, which is nice

Starting with this new OC I accidentally made while drawing a bookmark for myself (whom I'm now writing a story about. Suddenly, inspiration! whew!!)

Her name is Miette (thanks for the suggestion, AnnaPommes!) and I'm currently hosting a Draw This In Your Style of her over on my IG.

Draw one (or several! Draw as many as you like) image using at least one of the prompts for the week!
You may draw one for every word, or use all words in one drawing, but you just have to use one prompt in one drawing to join.


It doesn't have to be Pony!
Your art doesn't have to be My Little Pony. It should be Equine though. OCs, horses, anthro, or MLP are all good!


There is no requirement to join every week.
We would of course love to see your art for all the prompts, but if one week, or two, is all you have time or energy for, that's totally fine, as this is a relaxed drawing challenge.

Posting your art online!
Post in the Pinned challenge thread (it will be posted on April 4th, when the challenge starts) when you've completed your drawings!
You can post them anywhere you like online as well, as this challenge will be a cross-platform (Arena + Instagram) event.
If you post your art on Instagram, make sure to use #equineapril and tag the mentioned accounts (@shaiyeh.art and @mlparena)  to be story shared!

I had so much fun with painting these ones ^^ I feel like I've been kicked back in gear when it comes to painting stuff after spending so much time painting for the art project , and it's great! ^-^
