Hey ponies,
I took part in the time travel swap hosted by Salli that run some time ago, & unfortunately my partner, for who I made this pony went mia...
However, I think my partner won't show up, but I finally want to show you what I came up with ^^ & try to rehome this custom (
If you want her, read at the end of this post about that =3 )...
I chose the
ICE AGE for the pony's travel & thought about how she would go there, so I cooked up a little story:

XXX(pony name) and the travel through time
It was a sunny afternoon in late November, when XXX went for a walk.
She enjoyed the nice weather and when she came to a crossing, she decided to take the way to the wooded hills. The air was fresh and the higher she went the colder it was. Suddenly she saw a wall of rock appearing between the trees.
She never had seen it before, so she became very curious. She walked along the rock, till she discovered the mouth of a cave. XXX hesitated. She didn't have a flashlight - but it didn't seem to be too dark in the cave - so she entered.
Short time after she stood in front of a large wall that was covered in lots and lots of red, black and brown paintings. There were ponies, mammoths and other animals, arrows, dots and spirals and other things she couldn't decode.
It all looked very much like the drawings she had seen in TV, in a report about the ice age... She remembered the archaeologists telling about the ice age ponies using red chalk, carbon and earth colours for their paintings in the caves. Did she just find an ice age cave? What an amazing adventure!
A special painting on the wall attracted XXX's attention. It was the shape of a pony hoof - it looked exactly like those she had seen in TV -
somepony had put his or her hoof on the wall & had blown some red chalk on and around it, so the hoof print stayed empty and the surrounding became red.
XXX was fascinated by the silhouette... she just HAD to touch it... when her hoof met the painting on the wall she suddenly felt dizzy. The cave began to spin round and round... XXX began to freeze. All at once it felt very very cold. XXX closed her eyes and shook her head in the hope the feeling would disappear.
When she opened her eyes again, the world had stopped to whirl around her. XXX felt uncomfortable. She decided to leave the cave as fast as she could.
She galloped back in the direction of the entrance - but - she couldn't find it! ...
Did she enter this way? Did she turn left or right? She couldn't remember that the way had been so long...
She already started to feel afraid, when she saw a bright light in the dark.
She ran in its direction and the entrance appeared in front of her. XXX got outside - and grew stiff!
The wood had disappeared! Where there had been a sunny landscape with a lot of green trees she now saw nothing but - white snow! What had happened? Had it begun to snow while she had been in the cave? But the snow was so deep.
It couldn't come from just half an hour? XXX gulped. She had a lump in her throat. What happened with her? She looked around. She stood next to the entrance of the cave that was on the highest point of the surrounding landscape. What to do now? When she reached the decision to go downhill, suddenly a group of black
furry silhouettes appeared at the bottom of the hill.
They got closer and XXX realized that they were ponies! Ponies with thick brown coats and caps that looked like they were made of ...mammoth skin?!
The strange ponies had quivers on their backs, arrows and other weapons. Their faces and parts of their bodies were painted with red chalk.
They looked like ancient warriors and ... XXX recognized that they were nothing but ice age ponies! She gasped. The ice age ponies reached the mouth of the cage and spotted XXX - who trembled in every limb.
But the ponies were not hostile to her. They talked in a strange harsh language XXX couldn't understand - but they smiled when they saw her & brought her back into the cave. One of the ponies gave her a mammoth skin coat and a cap, so she didn't have to freeze any more. The ice age ponies directed her to a small chamber of the cave and lighted a fire. XXX identified a lot of warm skins lying on the floor around the fire place. A huge mammoth tooth was there, too. The oldest ice age pony came to her and signalized her to sit down on a skin next to the fire. She sat down next to her and took a wooden bowl with red chalk. She put one of her hooves on XXX’s back and took some of the red chalk into her mouth. Then she blew it on her hoof. When she lifted it again, XXX could see the empty hoof shape. Another younger pony came closer. She had a bull-roarer in her hoof & started to whirr it above her head. The cave was filled with a deep humming sound. Then the old mare started to paint her body and face, while the others surrounded her. XXX understood that she was adopted into their herd. She smiled.
A strong stallion gave her a quiver with arrows and a lance. He gesticulated how to hunt a mammoth. Would they take her to a hunt? XXX gaped. The ice age ponies sat around the fire. They gave her something to eat and started to sing songs in their rough language. XXX felt comfortable between them.
And although she was a bit worried and wondered if she ever would get back into her time - she looked forward to the adventures she seemed to expect with her new friends...
And that's how she looks like:
Bait was a de-eyed Whizzer, airbrushed & painted with artist acrylics & rehaired with dollyhair.
Her little display is made of paper & also coloured with acrylics, the weapons & bones & the little bull-roarer are sculpted with apoxy & the "fur" is mohair + velours that you use for making teddy bears.
