Two new pieces of news!

I've got two exciting pieces of news. Well, exciting for me!

First, I have a new kitten!  Her name is Belle.

Two weeks ago, our cat Buddha passed away. My partner was deeply sad about it, and the next day, my coworker offered me a kitten. Her daughter was in college and couldn't take care of her. I offered to take it if they couldn't find it a home, and said I'd contact cat rescues in town. I was even going to post here cause I know we have a few cat lovers in Ohio! But then I brought her home - after calling probably 17 rescues and no kill shelters in Cincinnati. That was Friday. Friday night she cuddled up to sleep with us, and .. well, that was it. We fell in love. And it's weird because she has fur as soft as Buddha and ALL of Buddha's behaviors. Like when she wants us to play, she does that sideways walk cats do and puffs up her tail. She begs like Buddha and goes crazy for spaghetti. She also LOVES to be chased just like Buddha. So it's so sweet to have this adorable kitten - who is part Bengal! I love them! - being all cute with Buddha's behaviors.

Second, my podcast has hit 10,000 downloads! Since it launched in September I'm pretty excited about this. I got fanmail from two different countries this week!

She stole a piece of roast today, took off growling and fought us heartily when we tried to take it away (it had bone). That cat is Buddha incarnate, we are so sure of it.

So sorry to hear about Buddha; it is very hard to lose a pet. I'm glad you have that furry little bundle of joy in your life now.
