Pony Corral / Re: Price check: Mimic
« on: October 26, 2021, 12:32:37 PM »
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that pretty much everybody who likes g1 ponies is going to want a Mimic! I bet a lot of people will also want 2… one to have MIB, and one loose. If LadyMoondancer’s petition comes to fruition and they see how many people want them to make retro Mimic, I bet they’d listen. They could make so much money! Maybe people could pre-order them so that they can guarantee it’s worth it before they start production? But BF doesn’t seem to want to deal with shipping individual ponies to people, just selling bulk cases to stores. Maybe they don’t have the capabilities for that? I don’t understand why they don’t just sell the ponies on their website. That would solve a lot of availability problems. Yeah, you can get them on Amazon or eBay but the prices are so jacked up… anyways this turned into a ramble. Go Lady!!

I just checked meijer a couple of days ago, and they still had the previous wave of BF ponies. It looked like they got a fresh case of them in recently. Haven’t checked anywhere else yet.

Pony Corral / Re: Removing sticky residue over painted areas?
« on: October 13, 2021, 11:15:40 AM »
Thanks so much guys!! The oil worked!! I’m so happy! I used olive oil and it worked great. I tried the non-acetone nail polish remover too, for pony restoration science, but it didn’t get all of the stickiness off. Probably cause it was the mother of all stickiness. That’s what I get for using off brand masking tape

Pony Corral / Removing sticky residue over painted areas?
« on: October 11, 2021, 10:04:55 AM »
Please help, I messed up! :yikes: I sunfaded some ponies and used masking tape to cover their eyes and symbols… But sadly, the tape adhesive melted in the sun and left a thick sticky residue that I can’t get off. I tried using rubbing alcohol and scraping it off, but it’s not budging. What can I use to get it off that won’t harm the painted areas?

Thanks pony friends!!  :hot:

Always thought it was weird that Skywishes was only released in the diva pose!

I thought that “in the cut” was a rap thing that meant you were “in the hood” lol… An interesting choice for a my little pony song

I know you guys are talking about purchasing physical copies for your collections, but if you just want to watch them for now, there’s a TV/phone app called Tubi that has both the original series and Tales for free. It has ads but not very many. I don’t know anything about whether they are cut or not though…

The “Let’s go Fluttershy” set from the crystal princess era? And the Ponyville minifigure.

Edit: it’s actually called “Sunny adventures with Fluttershy.”

Ok, so I have been following the new releases pretty closely, and I haven’t seen anyone else post this. I have found a new set on the Meijer app called the “Favorites Together Collection” and it includes G5 versions of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle. Whadda ya think about that?

Wanted! / Re: DazzleBright’s wish list!
« on: March 07, 2021, 07:15:05 PM »
Are there any make or break flaws for you? I have a questionable condition Beachberry and a nicer qual Waterfire I need to clean up, might have a few others, I can round up pictures for you by Tuesday!

I’m not too picky, as long as they don’t have haircuts or large scrapes/stains! Most of mine have been played with.

Introductions / Howdy!!
« on: March 07, 2021, 06:23:30 PM »
Hey guys, thanks for approving me!

I’m 22 and I loved my little pony from near the beginning of g3 to early g4. Basically my childhood until a couple years too old for a teen to still be playing with toys. Near the end of the time I “grew out,” I would look at mlptp and mlparena, and buy/sell on eBay. I hope I don’t get banned if I say this, but I made an account on here in like 2010 and said my age in my introduction post and got banned instantly. So I did what any rational person would do and made an account on mlptp with a fake age lol. This was back in the day when everyone used to have those sweet click-to-hatch dragons in their signatures. I didn’t have much to say on the forums but I liked seeing what the cool adult collectors got up to, and dreamed about having a pony room when I grew up. I would stare at the hair samples on dollyhair.com and wish I could customize my bait ponies. Despite all of this, I did eventually lose interest in ponies when I was maybe about 14.

I sold all of my g4 ponies around the time I stopped liking mlp and I left all of my childhood g3 ponies in the basement at my dad’s house when I moved out. Well, a few weeks ago I thought about going to pick them up because I know I’m supposed to get rid of the stuff I left there. I had always loved my ponies, they were really the only toys that I kept. Sadly, my playsets got sent to goodwill.  Anyways, hadn’t seen them or played with them since I was about 13. I took them home to check them out and now I remember how much I love them.

Shortly after I took them home, I started looking for more to buy because I immediately got back into the spirit. First, I found 14 ponies (some of which I had always wanted) in the $1 bin at an antique market. Most recently, I bought a big lot on Facebook marketplace of 30 g3 ponies, a crystal rainbow castle, and the butterfly island roller coaster. I have it all set up and I’m stoked. Now I’m back and I want to get all the ponies I always wanted growing up.

I am working on my G3 collection and love all of the butterfly island ponies! I am hoping to trade/buy with some of you to complete my wish list. That’s where you will probably see me the most! Anyone else notice that g3s body material started out soft and got hard around the time when they started having turning heads? I like the earlier soft ones the best... the SUPER pearly ones. Well, and the matte ones too. Early g3 is my jam.  See you around!
