Got this gal and some others for $10 each. She has her wings, but they are broke. Can try to fix them I guess... but yay!

Oh wow, congrats! That's awesome! And her wings too!! :D
-
Oh man what a score!!! I'm guessing it shouldn't be too hard to make some kind of replacement tabs for the wings, but even without the wings that's a heck of a pricetag for her! Super congrats!
-
Hey, neat! Good find!
-
Congrats, I hope you can repair her.
-
Dhdgdhdhrodjfi!!!! Oh my gosh you’re one lucky duck! Here’s hoping that you can fix her. Remember, patience, love and a whole lot of glue usually fixes everything.
-
Wow, yay indeed! That is a great price even without her wings - congratulations :)
-
WOW! Congrats!
-
Congrats finding her with original wings! I´m happy for you. :)

Anyone have any recommendations on fixing her wings? I actually have two tabs from two different rose dust ponies that were lodged in their holders...could use those?
-
Oh, great score! She's gorgeous!
-
Hollywood! :stunned: :frolic: :drunk:
-
Wow, nice score!!

Nice find! If Hollywood has her own tabs still in her wing holders, maybe someone can help you with fixing them to her own attachments. I don't know how to do this, because wave 1 tabs are so much more difficult, but they also colour match, so Hollywood's tabs would be dark pink.
Although I used 2nd year flutter wings for mine :/ so they have clear tabs.
Great price though. She looks in amazing condition as well. Lovely hair <3.

Thank you. Nope the tabs are missing. So just the wings without tabs.

Ah, that sucks :( Then maybe Rosedust's would work, but they might stand out in her sockets being that Rosedust is so pale? I don't know. Maybe some restoration experts will have some more useful input? I always saved wing tabs from 2nd year flutters when I got them because I knew I could fix them and many of my flutters who don't have their wings unbroken have 2nd year tabs for that reason. I wouldn't know where to begin with a first year set :/

She's beautiful! Huge congrats!

I saw this on FB. What a great find! Congrats to you

Congratulations! What a gorgeous gal, and at that price too!

Congrats she is a very lovey pony to find.

Could you post pictures of the wing tabs you do have? I know I have a pair of broken original pony wings with clear tabs and the part that goes in the wing slot really just looks like a piece of folded over thin clear plastic. Next time you buy an electronic or anything that comes in thin hard plastic, cut a piece to the size of the inside of Hollywood's wing strip and fold it over. To help it stay folded, quickly warm the plastic with a hair dryer or heat gun, holding it in the position you want with a pair of pliers, hemostats, or something similar. When cutting the plastic, make sure a little sticks out of the wing slot, and glue the wings into this folded out part. My favorite glue for everything is Zap-a-Gap but anything that dries clear and not in a thick gob should work.
I haven't tried this exact method myself but I have worked with or seen other people work with similar materials and techniques. If you like the matchy-wing tab look I suppose you could always add a piece of very thin colored craft foam to the base of your wing, or even use a thin folded over strip of it as the new wing tab. Just be sure to stick it in the wing slot first to make sure it fits properly! Best of luck, please let me know if either of these methods work for you!

Craft foam is what I use to make my home-made pony wings stay in place without having to glue them in. That way I can swop them out if I feel the urge or if I one day get original wings for my flutters. But in the mean time my girls can fly again. It works well.

She's so pretty! And yay for the original wings, too! :D
-
OMG what a score. Congratulations :cheer:
-
Gorgeous congrats!!!
-
massive congratulations on such a lovely pony :)

I use packing tape for wing tabs. I cut a strip, fold it in half to the appropriate size so that its stiff and long and use a small segment taped to the wings and the lower part trimmed to size and folded in half to create some counter pressure to keep the tape tabs in place. it's an easy and cheap method that can be done several times or replaced. message me Eli and I'll show you what I mean

I love Hollywood! She’s a beauty! ^.^ Congrats!
