Speaking of pumpkins and cats....
I think it was in the 4th grade that I dressed as a jack a lantern and my bestest best friend dressed as a cat. I have a picture somewhere. Maybe even on Photobucket? I might have to look for it.
My pumpkin was made by my ever-talented dad using paper mache on a wire frame that he welded together. It was fine to stand around in, but sitting down was impossible.
Such fun memories.
EDIT: I found the picture!

I was a jack o lantern made of just good ol cloth, no wire, when I was five and I think the year after that. Was a black cat in 5th grade.
Edit: Your dad sure did an epic job on your costume^^

I say Witch.
-
I was thinking witch.
-
I say ghost! I mean, just cut some eye holes in a sheet! It’s a costume as old as...I’m not sure! But it’s a goody! And sourdough, I think you just killed me because that picture is so cute!
-
I say witch. Sourdough that is a very neat costume. Your dad did some awesome work!
-
I said Ghost. I think it's the most classic/iconic costume because it's so universal. Vampire would be my second choice.
SourdoughStomper: That's a really cool costume. Seeing all the creative handmade stuff is my favorite aspect of the costume portion of Halloween.
-
I said ghost - easiest costume in the world to make and can be worn by girls or boys.
@ SourdoughStomper - you were a cute pumpkin, your dad had some talent there :)
-
I think that it would be a Ghost costume. I dont think I ever was one for halloween though. I remember a few other ones. I once was Miss America. lol
-
I'd say witch, as there were still quite a few witches going around last night! No ghosts and few cats.
-
SourdoughStomper, that is a seriously brilliant pumpkin costume!
Don't get that much going on in the UK compared to the US but I would say that witch/vampire outfits are always sold in the supermarkets here.
Plus a lot of ladies like an excuse to "vamp up" hehe :devious: plenty of lacy masks and devil-horns sold alongside the false eyelashes and skeleton earrings
-
Hmm, tie between a witch and a ghost, but I voted ghost. :P

Great costume!

How cute, great dad!

I gotta go with witch, ghost being a close 2nd
However I was forced to be a pumpkin the year I taught in China. Not sure if its because it was the only thing big enough to fit me or they thought I actually looked like a pumpkin..

My first thought was ghost, but I don't remember the last time I saw a child dress up as a ghost. I went with a witch then because I see more of them than anything else on the list. Pumpkins are a top contender for babies and toddlers though ;)

Witch, definitely! visitors can't see pics , please register or login
