OK - been doing a fair bit of embroidery lately, mostly Jacobean designs, as that's what I personally like - but I'd thought about doing ponies, if anyone wanted them? Could do people's ponysonas or any pony really I reckon, as long as I had good reference sheets to work from

Would anyone be interested? What about price? They would cost a fair bit as they take so long, and use quite a lot of silk I would imagine, but I thought I'd see if anyone was even vaguely interested before I bust a gut trying!

I actually don't have any photographed!

must do some at some point. I hav no pony pieces yet. Might try one over the next day or two and see what they're like and post pics

Ooh, I've always admired people who have the patience to do embroidery. I'd love to see what you make, even if it isn't ponies, I'm sure it's very pretty! ^-^

Thank you - I'm working on a basic pony one now, it's taking longer than I thought as it's quite fiddly - but will post it up when I'm done

OK - here's one I knockedu p quickly, to show the sort of thing I'd be offering - probably a bit smaller for most of them, as it's much quicker/easier - and thus also cheaper. I can tackle larger jobs, but obviously they take crazy amounts of time. White is easiest of course (no filling on pony body) - but coloured ponies are of course fine too. Same technique, just takes longer. Would be happy to do ponysonas - what do people think they'd pay?

I think you'd have to charge based on complexity. A white pony would be easy enough, but if I asked for my ponysona, she'd take you forever with the yellow and the dots and such. You want it to be affordable enough that people can afford them, but charge enough to be worth your time. I think you could probably start at about $20 for a simple design and then tack on extra cost as the design gets harder?

that's helpful indeed! I have Tex up in the For Sale section, no interest so far, but I'm also happy to do commissions. I'm working on a ponysona at the moment for a friend who I owe something to!
