A friend commissioned these as a gift in a Secret Santa exchange we're part of.  I'd been itching to have an excuse to do a tiny mustache on someone, and so poor Sweetie Belle got the 'stache, and Twilight Sparkle got a fancy hat and a pipe.

Yes, I know that the original Sherlock Holmes didn't wear a deerstalker hat and it was the illustrator who added it in.  However, it's such an essential part of the image of classic Sherlock that I couldn't leave it out of the equation.  After struggling to try and sculpt a hat, I gave up and made it using a bit of scrap from a bag that I received as a free gift with an order of supplies a few months back.  It lacks earflaps, but it still pretty accurate.

The tiny pipe is a pin, bent into shape and covered with Apoxie, then painted and glossed.  It's removable and doesn't leave a very visible mark in her mouth when it's not in place.

*squee*  Just look at the tiny mustache.  LOOK AT IT. BASK IN ITS ADORABLENESS.  Both the mustache and the suit were done with Apoxie.

So did I!  I know that every time I make something that I *really* like, I say that I want to keep them, but this time I really did want to just give the buyer a refund and let them live on my shelf.  I couldn't do that to my friend though, and he thanked me for rushing them by gifting me a couple of new books for my Kindle.
