Fakie Find / ID & my Gorgeous MLP Convert! x

Hey! 
I went on a bit of a charity shop pony hunt for 'victims' for my idea for this years 'Destroy-a-Fakie' at the UK Ponycon - I came across these guys.  I think the two at the bottom are really common recent fakies, but the blue seashell one interested me a bit more, its a Lanard with a 1984 stamp on its foot.  Does anyone know any more about it?  Do people collect the early Lanards?

And here is my beautiful son Ben modelling a UK womens size 8 MLP t-shirt I bought to make my own top from (alas I am not a size 8).  He loved it!  Wore it for about 2 days straight haha!  Much to the distress of his father but hey ho, I love my little MLP fan - he finds them everywhere for me

That middle one looks like a fakie of a buddy L fakie.  lol  And your kid is adorable!

The top two are Lanards (or at least in Lanard molds) and the bottom one... I dunno. Lol.

Oh yeah...because of the differently colored hoof.  That one IS a lanyard.  Not a fakie of a lanyard. lol

The middle one is a 90's lanard - I started collecting them now after finding so many at car boot sales, would you be interested in trading for a killable fakie? I've been amassing them too for the same purpose :p

Train them on "pony" when they are young! He is so cute and a great t shirt choice too!

I have that T-Shirt (2 in fact as I bought 2 by mistake!). They do larger sizes if that is any help - I'm no size 8 either!

i've got the same one as the top lanard in the photo, i don't really know much about it but i think it came in a set with a matching baby because i've got one that goes with it

Yep, both green ones are Lanards. The vintage one is sought after and can get up to $5 at times, though average is more like $3 I think.
 
I think destory a fakie is a bad idea because some fakies are more rare than mlp because they aren't licensed and thus must be sold at small storesfew and far between. Some are worth quite a bit too. At least you should educate people to look up their value before destroying while you are doing this.

@Havacrumpet I think that is what most people do, I'm only using fakies that can still be bought cheaply in stores here and last year that's all I saw. No dead Takaras, Rinse and Spits, etc


Makes me think we should have a fakie panel at ponycon, I'm getting to love fakies! ;D
