Art, Craft and Plushie work
« on: October 01, 2015, 01:44:27 PM »
Hei there I'm Drabit
I'm a bit new to mlparena :)
I have been suggested to post some of my arts and craft here by a sweet person on the forum.

First I'm just gonna show you my work and I'll write a little info afterwords as the last thing.
Artwork digital/traditional
(most traditional at the time due to drawing program stopped working on win 10)

(have a few on facebook, and just started to lay them on youtube)

Mochanut and Tira-Mi-Su:

Well this is what I make, (not for a living) I create because its fun and I love doing it.  :)
I like to think big when making stuff, I often draw on A3, and make the plush's big ( well as big as my embroidery machine allows me) Due to illness (panic Disorder) I have had a hard time finding the love to these things, but I'm getting better every day;)

About Commissions:
I don't really take plush commissions (depends on many things), but I sell most of the plushie's I have home.
Drawing or/and video commission, if its something I like to draw I'll draw it, if I have the energy.
Embroidery commission, depends on what and how many, I only have a simple program to make the embroidery file, so if its to complicated or to many, I'll have to pass.

Thank you for your time, for reading and looking at this :)

Such lovely art style, and those plushies are adorable! Do you use your own patterns or are they based on some patterns that are for sale somewhere? *curious*

Many thanks ^^
I started out with a pattern I bought on etsy, it was okay, but the looked a little weird the head was just somehow wrong.
So I stated modifying it, and before I know it I learned to make new patterns, I find it fun to make pattern as long as they are not to complicated.
So all the plushies I make today is my own pattern, :) and I have not put them on the net or sale, I have an idea about doing it, but I wanna have a tutorial finished for it first, that's gonna take forever for me, cause I'm not a good talker in English. ;)

But today you can find really good pattern on Etsy, the cost aroud 10$ (most is without mane and tail pattern) Theres some okay free patterns as well on Deviantart to start of with.

I really like making them :)
The reason I'm a bit stand by on the commission is, it gets to be all work and no fun. :)
:D I'll be happy to share in the future

Sweet, I always appreciate it when people make time to learn how to make patterns by themselves! :lovey:

Thank you for sharing your works, these are all great! Those plushies are beautiful and I really like your G3 drawings, I spot a couple of ponies who definitely don't get enough love in form of fan art, like Silver Rain. ^.^

I Really like Silver Rain and I'm Drawing some of the others too.

Well the embroidery machine is a bit difficult to learn if you don't have someone to show you and teach you, making the files is .... a pain sometimes for me. Mostly because I have the low end software from brother, and not there Other Expensive version.. If you have the expensive program it a lot easier to make the files, it still takes time. With the one I have its a bit more difficult because the cut some features out. :)

So the answer is Yes to begin with its hard, but its get easier along the way.
