I would have MGR Sparkler and Diamond Dreams in a different pose, one less likely to topple over all the time! The prototype wings for Medley and Firefly! Would've made them look so much nicer!

I'm going to stalk this thread for recommendations. 
Same here! At the moment, I'm reading 'Folklore, Myths and Legends of Britain'; it starts out with chapters on particular themes, then covers folklore from specific regions around Britain and finishes with a section about significant historical figures. There are some absolutely amazing woodcut illustrations in there, and a lot of information about the origins of traditions, songs and sayings. It's keeping me suitably occupied!

We ran out of milk and the next delivery from the milkman isn't until Tuesday, so I had to venture out down to the Co-op to get some more. It's only about two minutes down the road but it's a claustrophobic, cramped place and it's unpleasant at the best of times. Today, however, there were really rude people in there, completely ignoring the one-way system and barging about like angry bulls, so it was even worse.

The thing that made me smile today was the Resident Evil 3 remake, particularly Jill's no-nonsense warrior attitude (she always has been my favourite) and actually being able to finish a horror game without getting absolutely mullered about 700 times in the process. Apparently what I perceived to be a stellar performance wasn't that great though; my finishing rank was a C. The RE series is a harsh mistress!

I'll pass. She was one of my childhood ponies, up until my sister lost her in the ancient fortress of Discount Giant, but I don't remember ever being particularly attached to her, so I don't feel a need to replace her.

What a lovely display! The ponies look like they're having a great time with their ice cream. My displays are a bit of a work in progress, as it takes me a lot of shuffling things around over a length of time to get them looking just right, but I'm happy with this one display on my bookshelf. The other ponies are just paired up in various spots around the room for now. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

And the thing that made me smile today was accidentally making a slightly rude cake. I've done madeira cake in a loaf tin several times before and it's always risen in a neat arch, but for some reason this time, it rose in two arches with a neat line down the middle... and it rather looks like a butt. 
I've heard of moon cakes but...

She's very pretty but based on what I've read about the prices commanded by alternate birthflower ponies, I'll just stick to admiring her in photos. It's possibly a bit of an odd thing to notice but the way her tail has been neatly curled at the end in that particular photo is just so satisfying.
