A few things made me smile today. The main one is just the fact that the sun's out; it's an absolutely beautiful day today! The bluebells are coming up in the front garden and they appear to be making a comeback in the back garden as well, which is great as they're my favourite flowers. I have also finally found a pear cider that tastes good, i.e. tastes of pears as opposed to sugar and weird chemicals - thank goodness! That was my reward for braving the post office in order to pay the council tax. I've had a rough week trying to keep on top of my anxiety and the post office was thankfully a painless experience. Now the rest of the day is mine to enjoy in peace.

The thing that made me smile today was some superbly tasty ginger preserve. I was originally intending to use it in a cake, but I'm short on flour at the moment, so I tried some on toast, just to satisfy my curiosity, and ooh, it is good.

I'm trying to get back into drawing again and I have an idea of how my ideal art style would look, but I'm so used to drawing in a certain way that even after a long break, I still keep falling back into the same old patterns. :/

Ended up being reminded of that song in a bit of a roundabout fashion; House of Leaves came up in conversation and I remember listening to so much AIC while reading that book. It made a good combination!

The thing that made me smile today was one a pleasant surprise, an impromptu sticker delivery! I completely forgot about having ordered them!
