I was always under the impression Mochanut and Dance Around weren't quite babies, but not quite adult ponies either... but My Little Wiki seems to think otherwise! They have unique non-baby poses, don't have the 'baby' before their name most baby ponies do in their generation, and again, are pretty well otherwise unique to the babies. What's your opinion? (Wish I could ask someone who worked at Hasbro during G3!! )

Hello, Arena! Been a hot minute, hasn't it? For everyone who hasn't met me yet--hello! You can call me Ash! My pony collection's been dormant for a little while now, though I was slowly picking up more via thrifting a couple years back now. Unfortunately, 2020 hit and... well, we all know the rest don't we? Given how miserable the past year's been, though, I need some colourful plastic ponies back in my life  Looking at my darlings on their shelf feels so warm and homey, and I hope I can bolster my collection this year! Other things about me--late twenties, my childhood generation was G2 (and still my favourite!), Canadian, artist, probably on the spectrum, toy collector of all stripes (though MLP is and always will be the major one). I'm glad to be back--I missed it here!

Sadly, I don't have any photos of this horse--she left my life years ago--but I just remembered her the other day and now it's bothering me that I can't find evidence of her ever existing! She was a large purple horse--think Barbie-sized--with a speaker in her belly that made rather loud whinnying noises. Her legs definitely had some measure of poseability; I distinctly remember ankle and knee joints at the very least. I believe she had plastic of some kind (dots, maybe?) where her mane met her head, and if I'm remembering right her mane was either white or blonde with tinsel. This had to have been released in the early '90s to early '00s sometime, as that's when I remember having her. I've always lived in Canada if that helps. I've already crossed out the Starlight Walking Horse for sure, as she never had a remote control. Thanks for the help!  EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it, it's also possible her hair may have been pink. In addition, she had no fantasy parts (horn, wings, etc) and I distinctly remember that her speaker was rounded and indented slightly. I also used to put these velcro stars in her hair, though those may not be related.

I ended up picking up a fairly recent colouring book and mini Apple Fritter. So as of late, I've begun to realize I have a lot of ideas for themed pony lines, in the vein of G1's pony sets. From soda float ponies with transparent, bubbly bodies to jewel-toned queens, my brain's been going wild recently. So--what kind of pony line would you like to see? What kind of concepts can you come up with? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Years ago, I remember stumbling across, of all things, a G1 MLP sewing machine on my trips across the young Internet. Ever since then, I've been both baffled and fascinated by the sheer bizarre and beautiful variety of MLP merch--from pasta to records and sewing machines and toothbrushes. Show me the weird! Show me the merch that's never catalogued anywhere! Show me the most bizarre MLP-related item in your collection!

I'm a huge 80s buff, though I was born well after the decade ended. From G1 MLP to music to movies to fashion to assorted other 80s toys, I like to consider myself pretty well-versed in the decade.
But despite always being interested in the toyline and show since I heard about it (back when I was first discovering G1 MLP funnily enough!), I've never taken the plunge to learn more. Until now, of course--with the Jem reboot movie having done poorly but the new dolls doing well, I'm really curious as to where I should start. Should I start with the classic toyline? The original show? The music? The countless variants? Or should I look to the new incarnations of Jem to get my fix?
Tell me about Jem, guys! Make me understand just how truly outrageous she is, was, and continues to be!

Sometimes, in my personal biased opinion, some ponies actually look better with a little bit of hair chopped off I have a couple myself--mainly G3s--and honestly, they can look so cute with shorter hair! So, show me your ponies with haircuts! Mohawks? Bobs? Whatever it is, I'd love to see them!
