This is an update to say that after that initial contact, no further communication has been made. I have made attempts. I have sent emails asking for her to just send my dolls back.. At this point I am convinced that i'm just out of luck.

Please deal with caution.

I still need a full hank of Nickel. I have many colors I can trade.

I have Electric Banana, but It seems like it's 1/3 of a hank though it is full length. it weighs .2 oz
I have a full hank of Water Nixie weighing .6 oz
2 hanks of Mango Tango both weighing .6 oz

That is just based on the other requests posted on this page. I do have many more colors. I'm also willing to buy Nickel from you directly.

Does anyone have any Nickel I can buy? I'll trade if needed, but you'll have to PM me what you're looking for. I have way too many colors to list.

I need 1 full length hank of nickel, preferably at the correct weight. If it's the thin hanks that she had been sending out, then I will need more than one.

Storenvy.com or storeenvy.com I'm not sure which spelling is correct. But you only pay Paypal fees there. The store is free. You have a smaller market though.

There are no Listing fees any longer, for the most part. There are still final value fees. If an item sells, you pay ebay a percentage of the final value. I have no idea who told you that you paid no fees, but it sounds like there was either a huge miscommunication, or they didn't know what they were talking about.

Unfortunately, there ARE fees for using ebay. Otherwise, how would they make any money? eBay can't afford to make no money.

I am posting here in attempts to catch the attention of Aroa, or hopefully anyone else that may be in the middle of trades or sales with her.

I have previously bought a MH custom doll from Aroa and had a prefect transaction. Couldn't have been happier! So I thought dealing with her again would be safe.

Around April 9th, I sent a doll I had rerooted to her to recieve a custom faceup, in trade for three of my nude dolls. Aroa promised me a sketch of the proposed faceup so I could approve it. The sketch was promised over and over, and it was never produced.

April 25th, I told her I understood if there were delays so long as she would communicate with me. April 26th, she promised to get me the sketch and promised to keep in touch with me.

May 12th, I ask her for an update, since it had been about two weeks.. She logged on May 13th.. No reply.

May 18th, I told her I was uncomfortable with the lack of communication and asked for her to please return my dolls or show me the promised sketch, and asked her to get back to me by May 22..

So.. Still no reply. No dolls. I'm out a doll that took me a month to reroot since I worked on her like 5 min at a time, as well as three nudes.

I still hope this all works out safely, since like I said, I had a good dealing with her in the past. But if anyone knows how to get the word to her, or if anyone else is dealing with her.. I guess just play it safe..

Aroa, if you are reading this, please PM me. I won't scream and yell or be mean. I'm happy to work something out with you so we can both be happy. I promise :)

I always ask my buyers to pay by gift If, and only If, they are comfortable doing so based on my feedback. If they would rather not do so, then I am perfectly fine with that, and I always respect their decision.

If a seller pressures you for a gift payment, to me that screams "don't trust me!"

If it gives you guys any hope or idea of time, the package I mailed on April 9th finally showed up at it's UK destination either yesterday or the day before. She was out of town for a couple days so she can't be 100% sure when. But my 45 day time limit was very nearly up and I was sure sweating! Whew!

I sent a package first class USA to UK on April 9th, and it only just arrived somewhere around Yesterday. She was out of town for a couple days, so she can't be 100% sure when she arrived.

I know myself too well to even try the knot method. :P  I haven't started my first reroot but I did just order the hair.   I do know I'll definitely use the reroot tool and glue.

I use the reroot tool and glue as well. I'm not patient enough to use the knot method. It also sounds quite complicated, though it's probably because I haven't tried it.

For my Pirate, I used the knot method combined with the reroot tool. I didn't need to add glue, but I did anyway because she had a section where the rubber had torn a little.

Basically, It works almost exactly the same as the Tool method.
Instead of just draping the plug over your index finger, you tie the plug in a loose knot.
Before pulling it tight so the knot closes, leave it open enough to slip your index finger into it.
Make sure the ends are nice and even so one side isn't longer than the other, then scoop it up on the tool's needle as normal.
I generally put the index finger of the hand holding the tool over the needle so the hair doesn't slip off, and pull the knot tight so the hair is now tied around the needle.
Then press the hair to the tool using the index finger or thumb of the same hand holding the tool, and stick it in the head.
Pull the tool out again and give the plug a tiny, gentle tug. Just till the knot hits the rubber, and move on to the next one.
Over the next few minutes, the rubber will relax back into the tight hole, and the plug will be secure.

That method is WAY easier on the hands. I could do this for about 10 minutes at a time directly after my carpal tunnel surgery, even while wearing a cast. No struggling with sewing needles and thread or wire. I have no idea if it's faster since I have never done a full reroot using the other methods.

Bonus: You can boil perm the hair without having to worry about glue melting inside the head.

If you paint the scalp to match the hair, try sealing the paint with Liquid Fusion glue. It says it's water proof, and it's what is used in that one tutorial about how to cut off Clawdeen's ears and still make her rerootable. I have NOT tested if this will make a boil perm possible. I am theorizing that it would, but I have no idea. The one doll I did so far is not getting boiled. I keep meaning to do a test head with that, but I have been super busy with my new job.

This makes me wonder what is happening to all these packages... Are they making forts out of the boxes and using the envelopes as projectiles to have fort wars? O.o
