Pearlized ponies to take over for 2016?

Sorry if this is old news- I TRIED searching for a thread but it totally did not work.

So basically I've been seeing more and more and MORE of those pearlescent new ponies on ebay.

Thanks to Toyfair (I think it was Toyfair)- we knew about THESE (which you can preorder right now from Entertainment Earth, Toywiz or various other sites):

But now ebay is suddenly full of pearlized Cherry Berry, alleged "Twist a loo" and a nurse???

So maybe pearlized ponies will take over in the near future ?  (Hopefully they will do Rarity at some point?)

I'm pretty sure the bottom three will be released officially later this year, but I am so ready for them! Coloratura and Starlight Glimmer are at the top of my list! I agree though, I would LOVE to see a Rarity in this same style. Fingers crossed!

I'm pretty sure that Cherry Berry and Twistaloo were shown at toy fair.  The nurse pony wasn't, though I did see mention of this version in a thread around here somewhere.

I thought the pretzel pony was just named Pretzel?  Isn't Twistaloo the name for the yellow baby pony with two candy canes?  (Just named Twist in the show.)

Here are pics from the toy fair.  There are three more non-mane 6 ponies slated to come out.  That makes 7, the most we've had in years.  Though maybe we should say 6 since Starlight has become An honorary member of the "mane 6".  I predict that she will get lots of releases in the future.

Yeah, pretty sure it's pretzel. Twist is another pony.

I don't mind them, they're not too awful, and at least we get two new characters.

Ah thanks! Somehow I missed (or maybe forgot) seeing those ones- so there will definitely be hordes of pearlized ponies. AJ as well as Twilight, and sunflower butt.  Also, Rainbow Dash-  but somehow no Rarity at least in the pictures.  I hope they DO actually make her anyway (I mean, the nurse one wasn't previewed right?)

I do wonder how translucent they really are- they look pearalized, but not particularly translucent.

(I'm sure you are right about the Twist-a-loo name being actually Pretzel or something-  was just using the name the ebay seller is using in case anyone is interested to find them...)

I just bought the pretzel pony on eBay but it seems like she has glitter imbedded in her! Thoughts on that? Here's a pic from the auction. (Click to enlarge)

Looks like they will be similar to G1 Sparkle ponies or G3 Devine shines.

We're also getting Meadow Flower and Sea Swirl (finally!) and a completely new character called Sapphire Joy 

...and the mane 6, too. But still, new characters! 5 ponies we've never had brushables of before!

I think they're not as see-through as the G1 Sparkle ponies or G3 Divine Shines.  But I don't think it's just a layer of pearliness on top of a regular pony (like the G1 pearlized babies were) either.   They seem to be semi-translucent.  I'm sooo excited about them!   I found the auctions you were looking at--I'm having a hard time resisting buying them now, LOL!

I recently got Coloratura from another collector- she's really pretty! The only picture I have of mine is this one: she's on top of the curio with the toothpaste.

I pretty much made it my goal to collect all characters, excluding all remakes. Soon pretty excited!

Pretzel, Coloratura, and Sea Swirl are ones I'm really looking forward to.
