Ah! Thanks everyone! I used fabric paints to make them. The same paints I used to make Ringlet's quilt. (If you haven't seen it you need to get over to the Army Swap brag thread! ) This was a bit more tricky because the jeans are a bit more stretchy than cotton fabric and I had to do a few layers of the lighter colors to get them to show up on the dark denim. But overall, I've very pleased with the results!
 
ETA~ I uh... haven't decided if I even want to attempt to take commissions for them.... although I am brainstorming on designs for the other mane six characters....

Hadn't seen the quilt, so I looked it up. It's amazing! The official G1 blankets aren't nearly so nice! :O

Oh! Thanks so much! Tips, let's see. If you're working on denim, you'll have to do several layers of paints to get the lighter colors to really pop. And try not to get really detailed. I had a hard time with Dash's symbol. It came out okay, but not great.   Good luck!
