Post by: Rhini on February 19, 2012, 06:59:32 PM
I was at Target today, and on their Easter display that had a spot for "Littlest Pet Shop Pet" for $3.99. There wasn't anythnig there yet, but I think there will be easter specials!

Anyone seen them yet?

Indeed there are Easter specials! I went back, and picked a bunny for $3.99

There was also a special edition swan, a wiener dog, a cat, a bug, and a chinchilla that I remember.

I was at my grocery store today and saw two LPS pets in Easter Eggs hanging on the back wall.  Was that what you found?

Nope, definitely singles.

They weren't in eggs, really the packaging wasn't special or "easter" at all per se, besides being in the Easter section. I'm guessing it's Hasbro's intention that they be used at basket fillers. They had the new luggage pony singles in the section as well.

They were on sale for I think $2.49 this week.

Eggs? I'll have to keep a watch for those.

Now my interests are peeked since they are on sale for $2.49. I wonder if they are in the toy section or with the seasonal stuff?

Hmmm... I work at Target, and I have not seen any LPS in eggs. However, I have seen the swan, weenie, etc singles at target- but here in town they can actually be purchased at biglots for half the price! I have yet to see any mlp easter stuff at work yet :(

Okay I THINK mystery sovled as far as the eggs go. They seem to be quite old stock from previous years (like Easter Fluttershy) that some groceries stores have been shipped or have been hoarding lol. I never found them in a store, but copious google searching found lots of images of them from previous years :)

That makes sense about the eggs. I found some on Amazon (probably paid too much.) Thanks!

I think Target skipped the Eastery packaging so they wouldn't have to mark them down to 90% off a week after Easter. This way they can just quietly slip them back into their normal spot for regular price and not have to clearance them until much later (if they haven't sold that is) when they are doing their next reset.
