Do You Tell People About Your MLP Collecting Or Do You Hide It?

most people i know i tell them about it. because it would be weird if i kept it a secret all that time then one of my friends comes to my house and opens up my bedroom door, then sees nearly 200 ponies just there actually everyone that knows of my collection is comletely fine with it (except my family of course. theyre all against it except my dad). although some of my friends had a few different reactions.

like one of my really good friends that i've known and trusted for a while, when i first told him he was all like "omg r u freaking kidding me right now", but another friend who i'm not as close to and havent know for all that long (and he's emo/goth, so just looking at him you can CLEARLY tell hes not into anything remotely close to ponies), once he found out i had a customized Children of Bodom pony he almost had a heart attack and wanted to see it so badly

Technically, the collection is mostly Charlie's.  Since the G3's come from thrift stores in bags, we get duplicates frequently.  She lets me customize them.  DH thinks it's weird, but he plays D&D.    Mostly that's what people are told.

Most people that know me know I love ponies and unicorns. It's part of who I am, and I really don't care what they all think about it.

I also generally have a pony of some form on hand, and I even had my class last year take on an extra "student" on thursdays, my big pink unicorn plushie floyd. My teacher even had him on the roll & he even passed an assignment with me lol.

Here he is in class last year - so yep, im out there about it lol

I kind of keep most of my collecting -- Ponies, Transformers, etc. -- to myself.

I'm a proud pony person. Anyone who knows me, knows I collect ponies. I won't randomly bring it up just for the sake of letting people know, but my ponies always have a way of making themselves known.

I don't shout it from the mountains. I tell a few who I think won't think me too weird for liking it. I think a couple of them find it weird anyway though. =P

I'm 17, and I tell a few people, I try not to tell everyone because competition for things where I live is already savage enough! I do get a little embarassed around my posh side of my family, I find it a little awkward, but they said they are happy to help me find ponies. My friends think it is funny and cute but they think I spend waaaay to much money on ponies !! LOL. xxx

Only my mom and my brother know about it. I'm not all that trusting when it comes to other people!

I'm out and proud I even talk about them at work and don't hold back on the giddiness! My work friends think I'm crackers in a good way but always are keen to listen and always nice about it


All my friends and family know, they even buy ponies for me for birthdays etc. If anyone stays over they sleep in the pony room!

I tend to tell, although from some people I get strange looks, like as if I'd just told them I like to strangle puppies or something, those people generally don't become my friends.

I have several larger collections that people hear about first, once they hear I collect armadillos, Black baby dolls, Indiana Jones merchandise, and Cabbage Patch kids, and love the 80s, they aren't so shocked when I let them know I have MLP as well. I do tell them about other collections like gemstones and fossils and other stuff too, so they know I am a collecting person. If they think I'm odd, so be it. I think it's weird when people collect make-up that either is used up or goes off within months, or loads of 'fashion victim' clothing that they can't wear for long.  At least I have something to show for it after 10 or 20 years!

If I just meet a person and we talk about hobby I tell them.
My and my friend both collect, we started the same time and offten go to toy stores and such. Every weekend we meet to customes or stalk ebay ^^
My family knows, my dad is really intreressded and ask mt lots of questions. He evan drown me 2 hours to get my bookcase for my ponys the other day 

I wright about in my blogg and link to facebook so people that I arn't so close to probebly knows and I dont minde

I'm really shy otherwise and dont like telling people to much but when It comes to my hobbys and think I really feel for I can't help but talk about it
