Title: Bad offsite experience with new user
Post by: Taxel on January 25, 2012, 02:33:22 PM
So I've noticed a user who joined not too long ago is a person I commissioned on dA. The whole process was. . .bad. I did not get what I ordered and was not happy with it. This happened a few months ago and I didn't bother making a fuss (I'd just gone through hell with another artist I commissioned who tried to scam me so I did not want to go through that again). However I don't want other people ordering art from them and getting something completely different from what they ordered. Its not like she tried to scam me or the art was of severely different quality compared to her examples, I just ordered a specific base to be used and she decided to instead do what she wanted. She also did not follow her own 'rules' for how she does commissions (payment, shows WIP sketch, gives final image). I never got a WIP and that would have made this problem never happen.

I don't know what to do. D:

Leaving feedback feels like it might be inappropriate because the whole thing took place on dA months ago, but other than leaving negative feedback I don't know how to warn others.

Also she only has one feedback that looks like it was made by a friend just saying how great she is. Its cut off because of the new system but it does not look like a legitimate feedback for a sale/purchase/trade. I can't imagine something like that would be allowed. Should I report it to a mod?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Maybe I'll just find one of those blogs that track bad artists and add her there with my experience, as much as I hate adding people to those. I'm not sure if anyone here checks those though, lol.

I'll go send you a PM. :)

Thanks for letting us know  :)  After looking at the situation in this case it is best that you leave some honest feedback  for this transaction , so that members can be aware of any potential problems they may have dealing with this person in the future.
