Welcome to the Arena and congrats with this awesome hobby  I'm from the Netherlands and remember when buying international was fun, but since the shipping costs are so insanely high I hardly ever buy ponies abroad anymore (I only collect G1).

I've had my G1 collection stored in closed plastic boxes for + 20 years and as far as I can tell they're still okay, but to be sure I've started buying organic cotton boxes (I think there's cardboard under the cotton fabric) for my G1 babies.
