Jumping on the band wagon late, AGAIN! BFC Ink Dolls
« on: October 20, 2012, 06:31:28 PM »
ARRRGH!  I've just come across these amazing 18" fashion dolls that have the pose-ability of a BJD, but are less than half the price of one.....and research enough to find out they've been discontinued!   >_< :yikes: Damn you, MGA!  First Moxie Teenz, then these pretties!

Here's a link if you're not sure which dolls these are:

http://www.amazon.com/BFC-Ink-Large-Doll-Gianna/dp/B003AQWUU4/ref=pd_sim_t_3

To help console me, please post pics of your BFC Ink dolls if you got em'!  :P

If you're looking for BJD-like dolls, check out Livs. They're better posers and more poseable than BFC Ink dolls, wear great quality changeable wigs, have easy to change eyes, and cost way less than that BFC Ink. They've also been discontinued but you can find them really cheap in stores and online. :3

This is a good review with lots of photos of a BFC Ink.

Thanks for the suggestion Taxel!  I actually collect BJD's as well, but I'm not necessarily looking for cheaper dolls that are like BJD's.  I just like the size of BFC's, and were stoked that they had joints!  I've never been a fan of Liv dolls; something about their face doesn't appeal to me.

I don't collect BFC Ink, but I do have a funny story about it... They have one doll, Calista, and she looks just like my niece -- who is also named Calista! XD It was such a funny coincidence, my mom owns two different versions of the doll now, one of which is MIB.

Have you seen the Toy Box Philosopher review for the doll?

Pandaberry: That's so funny!  I haven't seen any Calista's for sale online ANYWHERE, but she is adorable!  I'm looking into ordering Gianna from Amazon soon.

EDIT: I just found her on Amazon for $60 >_<

frizzycat: I did; Taxel actually provided the link above.  The review is great!  Goes into awesome detail about their poseability, hair (which might be the only downfall), and outfit.  I actually just wanted to see if anyone here owned any and if they had pics they wanted to share.

There are NONE in the stores around my area anymore, although I remember picking one up to look at a couple of weeks ago (while shopping for MH).  I went back last week and, of course, they were all sold out.  I ended up ordering Tristen and Arizona from Amazon for $18.11. each (yay for free shipping!).

I've never seen any of the BFC dolls in person in the shelves, but I've seen a few of the Moxie Teenz on the shelves not too long ago. I'm getting worried about MGA's distribution and lines that are getting axed off the market. >,<;

BFC, the Moxie Teenz, What's next?! I've noticed that Moxie girlz are slowly fading from my shelves, but only seeing the new that we should have right now in the UK. I'm hoping they're not gonna stop selling Moxie Girlz (or any of their lines) in the US and keep them in the UK. >,<

If you ever need moxie dolls etc and you can't find them try contacting me and I will have a look as I live in Australia and we are usually behind in stocking stuff from the u.s . I have to wait months and months before I can get stuff and it usually sits on our shelves for quiet a while.
