This doesn't have a name. It was made for a contest over on PonyIsland recently.

The theme was "creatures of the darkness". My immediate thoughts went to the deep ocean, where some of the coolest and most alien animals live. I wanted to try and create the look of loose, translucent skin so I decided on papier-mâché. The spines and teeth are just toothpicks  ^.^ Because it's mainly aluminum foil and tissue paper, it's very light!

My original plans were to give it "bioluminescent" patches, like under the eyes and on the fins but my paint was dried out. In the end I just gave it a GitD wash with the reconstituted paint.

This is the first custom I've made in a long time and doing something different was fun :)

That is amazing! I too have a real fascination for the deep sea and the creatures that live there.

I love the addition of the glow in the dark wash :)

Love pkw xxx

Woah, this custom is stunning. I love deep sea creatures and this one is amazing. It reminds me of the videogame "Subnautica". =D

Definitely has the deep sea vibe. The colors, teeth, fins, and glow are all well chosen to make it work. Very fun theme!
