Hey, that would be pretty cool if this was true.
I am going to guess that the pics don't represent what the actual product will be. I can't figure out what to make of photoshopped Daisy Dreams, but I have seen a lot of retailers just use the Applejack stock photo on their websites to show that they have Fashion Style ponies, since AJ was one of the first FS ponies.
Maybe they will release a rainbow power FS AJ? I would totally buy that.

Hm, I guess for me it depends on the intention of the person/factory who sold the products, but yes, I would buy from Taobao. If I see something that I want, I will buy it.
If it is simply waste that would have been thrown in the garbage, I am all for sending the ponies anywhere but the landfill.
If the manufacturer was making extra ponies with Hasbro's tools and molds just for the purpose of selling them themselves, then yes, I would find that unethical from my point of view.
I would pass judgement if I knew any of the specifics, but I don't. If Hasbro doesn't want people to sell/give away left over ponies, then I believe they need to work this out with their third party manufacturer or choose a different country to manufacture in.

I totally look silly in the store doing this. I suggest bringing an accomplice to help you look at the numbers and decide what to get. Bringing a list and an extra person really speeds up the process.
Also, if you try and buy most of them from the same store, same box, it is easier to find all different ones, since they generally have one of each pony in each box.

Oh EQD. They do have some good points that make them tolerable enough. I like hearing about news and live streams from there.
I do get annoyed by some of the posts there, though. Their reports on new merch are so awkward. They have a pretty bad track record for passing judgement on a new toy and say "a pretty good fake" or call something legit before they have any information on it. I think they also forget who their audience is sometimes and report about things that 99 percent of their readers are probably not interested in. That is just my opinion though.
I prefer hearing my merch/toys news from here, because people are more generally more enthused about it. Also there is no terrible comments section here.

"The man" isn't an actual person. People say "the man" to personify faceless corporations and administration, who make decisions that they don't necessarily agree with.
Ever heard of the phrase "stick it to the man" or "the man is keeping me down"? "The man" isn't referring to any specific real person, it is just inventing a person to blame for things that are done by corporations or administrations.

Pony charm bracelets. Actually I have no idea if they have done this in the past, but it sounds cute. You could add whichever ponies you want to your bracelet each day.

Ugh, not really a fan of this article. It is pure complaining without any useful advice.
I don't see any evolution here, just the fact that they made a human-style doll. People may like it, others may hate it. Seeing so many things as "sexualized" strikes me as kind of strange though. I don't really see it, but that is my opinion.

Paler is definitely strange. Usually the marks are paint or random black smudges that can be easily cleaned.
I wonder if the problem is in the plastic itself. Maybe the plastic wasn't mixed well enough or there is an air-bubble in it or something.
I have a Trixie that has an air bubble on its neck. The bubble is a light mark.

Well, its
1) Not packaged
2) A head swap between 2 ponies
3) Easy to fake
4) Abundant
On the other hand they were from a Chinese seller originally, who does tend to have factory rejects, runs of ponies that weren't sold, etc.
I think there is a little creative combining here by someone in China, because there are a similar amount of DJs with Rarity's head. There is no real answer to your question, but I am guessing that the individual pieces of the pony are legit, but she was not assembled in the factory. Maybe someone got a hold of rejected parts and put them together like this.

I find it is becoming harder and harder to get ponies because they don't sell them in my country. There is so much I want: Funkos, Target exclusives, Walmart exclusives, and Toys R Us exclusives.
I wish I could buy them without inflated prices and without shipping and customs fees.
