He is SO cute in person, and bigger than the girls! I thought they shared the same body type this gen.

I still can't get over their disney princess faces :/ It's nice that Hitch has proper brushable tail though.

Ohh he's actually really nice! The Elsaface doesn't bug me as much on him as it does most of the other G5 toys.

We seem to have a lot of sunny starscout variants, a smaller moonbow and princess petals so far. I've not seen any jazz hooves or brushable boy ponies yet though.

Same. It's all very limited and dull, and a lot of the stuff that's been around stateside don't seem to even be in stores like argos or amazon, where there's an online catalogue option. It makes me wonder if the line is either delayed here or just streamlined because of the import cost.

I hope its just delayed :/ I really like some of the new characters and the bigger ones are so cool, I want to have some of the others, sunny is lovely and all but it's a lot of orange if that's all I can buy

I ventured to WalMart to look for Jazz Hooves and found her - she was way up on the top shelf and turned to the side, not "on display."  So if you are looking for her with no success, be sure to look up, ha ha.  She came with 8 full sets of hoof stickers...not bad!  Plus really cute stickers of herself.  I think kid me would have been really into all the stickers that come with the G5s.
The also had several of the Mini World sets - the Maretime Bay set was my fave but I didn't get any of them...yet.

Some new G5 merch:
- New Egmont magazine figure in this month's magazine, Zipp w/ some misc little accessories
- A G5 Busy Book has been released! (Aside: grrr - if I'd have known they were gonna release one, I wouldn't have bought the Tattle Tales version so now I have duplicate figures, arghhhh...) Paint quality is..... variable as always, but there's some cool characters. The set includes Sunny, Izzy, Zipp and Pipp (Repeats from the Tattle Tales release), Hitch, Argyle, Phyllis Cloverleaf, Sprout Cloverleaf, Alphabittle Blossomforth and Queen Haven!

I don't really know anything much about the G5 chars so I was pleasantly surprised to flip through the book and find out how many parent/child pairs there are here. Feels like forever since they've released any families as toys ^_^ Although Argyle's description surprised me (again - I only know a little bit about G5 lore lol). And also, man, FOUR boy ponies in one set?!? Is that a MLP first?? I really like the Sprout figure, his colours are sooo pretty.

Oh the Busy Books are really popular at the bookstore where I work! We have a giant table full of them in our Bargain Section. I've seen the Tattle Tales version, but not the BB version! That's so cool, that it comes with Argyle and Phyllis and Alphabittle. I'll have to keep on the lookout!
