The expression on Zipp's face is weird. Her box art looks like a conniving frog. I'm sorry, she is butt ugly. I like her wings though. They're pretty nice.

So now we see the first toys they showed in boxes. Ok.

Sunny from the side view looks...interesting. I don't have any strong opinion on her.

Pipp's face is annoyingly round. Her eyes are way too close together,  looks almost cross-eyed.

Trailblazer from a sideview reminds me of Thomas O Malley from The Aristocats, with that lantern-jaw.

Moonbow's expression is vapid.

I'll say it again,  that hair looks so nice.

I see they're still pushing out the jawless freaks.

The artwork on the countdown calendar is just darling! I kind of wish that was the whole style of the show, but oh well! At least I can enjoy it on the merch.

This new batch of toys looks really cute! I’d prefer brushable hair, but the molded hair undeniably works better with their weird face shapes so far. All the extras included look fun too. I’ll probably pick up one of each of the molded hair figurines to start off my g5 collection!

That's an unusual design. I see it getting easily broken by rowdy kids.

Less impressed with these G5 toys than the last ones. I agree they look very jawless/chinless.. nice to see Minty's here I guess. Weird that they're reusing the G4.5 blind bag molds for the advent calendar. And that is a WEIRD design for the castle o_O

The pins are so cute, but that price feels really steep for pins that are by a large company and not a small business. I get when small creators have pins priced like that. But for official MLP merchandise? I'll probably not get them...

I agree, when I saw "$30" in Tailrust's post I assumed that was for both sets (was just skimming the post, didn't see the "$30 a pop" part initially) - couldn't believe it when I realized it was 30 *each*. They're really cute but hard to justify for that price, I mean I could probably find all four ponies in actual plastic form for less than that! :p

Ooooooh so many new ponies...  I can see why some people might have to get used to the new ponies, they are different for sure but so far I really like the new design. I will have to see them in stores to be sure, though. Hopefully they will release more ponies in the upcoming months (ponies besides the main five.)

Hah, that's the first thought that crossed my mind. I am slowly getting used to these newer playset designs- after the initial cringe I usually find them rather cute. Cute in a 'well, that's different!' sort of way. The castle looks rather whimsy and impractical. I am drawn to the color scheme though.
