I use the codes (I passed on the third release the first time I saw them because I didn't have a list on me- big mistake, I've only come across them once since and have only added two to my collection as a result).

I keep the cards so I can display the pony in front of the card.

I use the codes to prevent doubles and I keep the cards...I am a pony paperwork fanatic! So they must stay :)

I usually pick up a couple of BBs at a time and so the codes are necessary in order to make sure I don't get any accidental doubles.  It's also helpful to know what bags belong to who so I can pick up my favorites first.  ^.^  My area only has wave 1 still (which I've already completed) but when I'm actively buying BBs I keep a list of the codes in my phone so they're always on hand if I need them while out shopping.

I keep all of the cards as well.  They're just in a stack near my pony display right now but I'm planning to put them in the official trading card binder with my trading cards when I buy that.

I use codes because I can't afford to be buying doubles that I don't need. I also keep the cards.

I bought full boxes of waves 3 & 4. I keep the bags and the cards. For wave 1, I got mine from the Toys-R-Us set of 12, e-bay, and as gifts from Welovefine. I got all the ones I wanted and some Euro ones off ebay. The sparkle ones from Europe are different, the colors are different shades than the wave 4 sparkle ones.

Back when they had the numbering system, I used that.  Now I don't have the patience to mess with the codes, so I just feel the baggie and hope I get the pony I want. xD

I swear I've tried to read the codes but maybe my eyes are bad because I've gotten them wrong. XD

Yeah sometimes the printing doesn't go through on some bags that it is very hard to read them. Better get some reading glasses if you're hardcore :P

Hehe, I wear glasses and it's even hard for me sometimes. I know when I was looking for Trixie Lulamoon last weekend, I nearly missed out on her because the "3" looked like an "8".  It's why I check "both sides" of the code to make sure (yay for reading numbers backwards! Lol).
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D

I use the codes, and keep the cards. I wouldn't be able to ditch the cards... heck, I actually still have all of the bags in my wave 1 box!

Hmm interesting as about half our wave 4 are from a China seller.  Maybe I ought to open that Applejack I garbed by mistake and see if I got Euro's from that seller or USA release ponies.

I usually buy full boxes of the blind bags. I have a seller from Germany that I frequent, so I don't usually need the code.

I keep a piece of paper with all the codes for each wave in my purse and I check them off as I get them. I do collect most of them, but there are a few in each wave that I didn't like their design or colors, so I skip them. I also collect the cards. I keep them in a 3 ring binder with my EnterPlay FiM trading cards.
