I've shown off something like this at the MN Pony meets, but I haven't posted a picture here- mostly because the internet and I are not always good buddies. But i had a little time today, and decided I wanted to show off my latest little creation.
I can't resist pony fabric, and I've just quietly been putting it into a box and waiting for a chance to use it for something fun. I'm not sure about her tail, but I sort of like it, too. It's fluffy and a little ugly- perfect!

She's about a foot tall. And loves peas.

Thank you all! I have a few more thoughts to make them softer/cuter/easier, and I'll try to post pictures to get opinions.

What a fantastic idea! All those vibrant colours, and the pony reminds me of a comic strip, I love it.

It's really cute, I like the idea of a plush horse made with ... fabric horse :P
I think it could be better if you add a mane too, maybe if you made an other one later :biggrin:

I finally found a store that sells fake fur, so I can try it with a mane! I have one in the works right now with a simpler band holding the two sides together, and then I'll try the mane. I'm also trying to decide if button eyes will be cute- I'll try that on this next one.
It's exciting having other people's input on things- usually it's just my husband, and bless his heart, he tries...

False fur is good, I was thinking about ribbons or wool too, It's can be interesting!
