I am pretty stoked with my entry for the craft contest. I have to figure out the best way to display it, but I have almost 2 weeks to figure that out, right?

I'm planning to bring hot dogs, plus buns and ketchup/mustard. If you want fancier things on your cheap hot dogs, you should bring it!

My garden is making green beans really well, so I'll probably bring a bowl of them for snacking.

Marla and Ellery are also planning to be there.

I'm excited for the custom contest- is it ok if I enter a plush?
Marla and Ellery aren't on the Arena, right? I don't know their handles, if they are.

Plush for the custom contest is fine by me, so long as Smash approves, since she's the host. :)

No, Marla and Ellery are on the facebook chat but not here on the arena. Thanks for adding us! --- If Smash wants to go with something catered instead of a potluck, just let me know. Bringing money or a side dish is a lot easier than a crock pot of pork!

I will be there! I'm not sure if Foxfire wants to go, and I'm pretty sure Lincoln won't be there, so put me down for one for now. Marla and Ellery are also planning to be there.

I haven't discovered any new recipes lately, but I'm happy to bring a pulled pork that we can eat in sandwiches or tacos or whatever.

And I'll bring some stuff for the raffle. Ponyqueen, do you have that roll of tickets yet? I know I have one here, but yours is closer.

When I win the megamillions, i am going to buy a hotel. Or a school. And our pony meets will be even more legendary.

About 12 hours to go! I really truly can't wait to see you all! And if you're not able to make it, I will miss you!

PonyKing and I are pleased to announce our intention to attend this event. We would require but one table, and shall contribute to the banquet, variety of sustenance to be determined in the near future.

Hey- I know last time you had trouble charging your car. My nephew, who lives across the street from the meet, has an electric car, and you can definitely charge there if you need to. Bring a cord? This is for anyone, of course, but you are the ones I know for sure have electric needs.

I finally decided- the choice for the main raffle prize will be Munchy, Crumpet, or the Skyflier Porcelain.

We need an adresssssss 😁😁😁

203 Broadway Ave N, New Richland, MN 56072

I'll have some big ponies out front (YAY! I get to use these!) and maybe a sign. I have an extra Pony Meet Sign in my hall, I might as well use it!

There are two doors- one at the front, one at the side. Both will be open and available, as long as the weather allows. If we have to close one, we can still prop it open for loading and unloading.

Kazzy, what are breakfast cookies?
Cookies made with peanut butter, bananas, honey, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, raisins, quick oats, and chopped walnuts. Or i can take out the cinnamon and raisins and put in mini chocolate chips, instead. 😁

Both! Do both! One for breakfast, one for a snack after we're all tired!

I'll be there! Which is good, I suppose, since I have the key! I don't know yet how many other humans will be attached to me.
I'm also pretty sure Marla will be there with Ellery.

For me, personally, I don't know what food I will be bringing yet. I can do a pulled pork. I made a crock pot venison the other day that was amazing. I guess I can bring some meat! LOL! I'll probably also make a dessert and a side dish. It's easy for me to transport food, so I'll bring a few of the messier things. Leave the chips for people who have to drive all the way from Bemidji.

Address:
New Richland City Hall
203 Broadway Ave N, New Richland, MN 56072

I've requested the site from 7 am to 9 pm on September 3. I'll be there at 7, and if there are still people there at 9, I'll be there to shove you out and lock the door. I will have a few people (Lincoln, Foxfire, assorted nephews) to help bring stuff inside. There are two doors, the side door is the easiest for loading. We'll make it as easy as we can.  It will be easiest if you park near the door to load/unload, and then move your car to a different spot so others can load/unload. There is parking in the lot that surrounds the building and parking on the street.

Regarding tables, there are 25 banquet-sized tables at the site. If we somehow need more than that, we'll figure something out. For now, if you need a table, we shouldn't have any problem getting you one. Maybe mention if you need a table? I'll start a little tally here:
Tables:
Aurora: 1 Table
Wizzer: 2 Tables
Marla: 1 Table
Aimee: 1 Table, but if we need an extra she can bring one

Regarding food:
We have a full kitchen, with a stove, sink, and real life plates and silverware. We will need to wash these when we are done, so if someone is a dishwashing fool, have we got fun for you.  There is a fridge, and I checked the box that said we were not serving alcohol, so no kegs. There is a pop machine in the hallway, but sometimes it is disappointing.

Regarding the site:
There are restrooms at the site (with running water! yay!) and at least one entrance is handicap accessible.

Regarding the Raffle:
I plan to bring a couple fun things to raffle off. The plan right now is $1 per ticket, and that money goes to help pay for the site. If anyone wants to contribute an item to the raffle, that would be awesome. (Maybe part of your ticket proceeds can get donated to the site?)

Much of the chatter about this is being chatted on Facebook. If you want to join our facebook chat, let me know! Message me here, and we'll go from there.

Hey, all! This will get updated on the first post soon, but for now, here's what we know.
Where: Near the Mall of America, at Nimrodel's house
When: Saturday, September 4 from 11-5 (set-up from 11-12)

If we go inside, masks will be required. Fortunately, I still have lots of masks that I got bored with and didn't finish, so I can make fresh ones for the meet!

More to come as we figure it out!

ETA: I was just reading through the posts and realized that I am going to have to remember what everyone looks like again. I'm so so sorry. After ten years or whatever, you could think I could remember.

That's kind of exciting that we had 14 people vote! Way to go, team!

With Labor Day Weekend, my yard/farm is still an option. Do we know anything about the other venues?

Nice! I haven't been here in a while! Thank you for starting the thread, Kazzy!

If anyone has problems with the admission price, please message me. We are trying to decide where to have the meet, and if cost is a factor for people, we need to know about it. I won't share anyone's names, I just need to do the research. Right now it is set at $20 just to have a starting point, and I don't think it will be more than that.

Share your input! Let us know where you are, how far you would need to travel to get to the big city, and how much space you might want for display!

Just throwing this out there, I absolutely cannot go on the last weekend of August. This will only really matter if it is at my house, of course! Don't plan around me, just felt like sharing.

My 6-year-old used to love the pony room, but he doesn't anymore. There were rules, and there is a reason it is the only room in the house with an actual LOCK on it, but as he has gotten older, he likes his own things, not the ponies. So I am a little jealous that your kid still loves ponies.

I used to let him play with the old ones, but not when he was little enough to put them in his mouth. It sounds like this child is definitely past that stage, so the phalates shouldn't be as much of an issue. His favorites were the G4 blind bags, though- small enough to have adventures and hide, no pesky hair to get in the way!
