heya not to be a downer, and you all may be able to put the dots together = I got ponies from barbievzla (sp?) (sorry have not updated that vennes thread = total backlogged May = I promise by this weekend!)

anyhow = Just got an email so I am forwarding to you all... not saying that there is no value (heck, I am looking at both) but in the interest of history, just thought it was good to get out here

Subject: Beware with false venezuelan ponies on Ebay‏

Hello Mónica, I warn you to know. The ponies without tail or hair are not my little pony. The brand is the company must say Bisanti-Ziade.
These are just horses that were made for children, not part of the line.
Passes the data to your friends. If they are made by Bisanti, but are after the 80's when they were divided and not Hasbro. They're false. Be care. Kisses Julia

So it seems that the factory had the molds so that in that they are MLP/hasbro design... but apparently no longer affiliated as "official" product?

Anyhow, I am thinking others might know a bit more about the warehouse find history to help sort this all out

First - I am excited because it is amazing to finally know where and what these weird but cute creatures were.

Second - So MCM do you mean they may essentially be fakies? Its unusual to have fakies [even using the HB moulds] with the right symbols painted on isnt it!

And Third - What is a piñata stuffer? Is it just one of the items that you put inside a piñata or something different?
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I guess it's possible, I just saw some knock off ponies at Ben Franklins that had the same symbols as the 80's ponies but different colors. They were so pretty I almost bought them but decided to save my money. I hope more information is found on them.

Either way they are very rare, lol; maybe 'Bisanti fakies' will be the next Takara fakies?

oh heya angelponies = oh that seller is Ed?  Oh that would be great if he has more info to share on that...

good question on the designation hathorcat, well yeah, that's how I took her email = after the 80's bisanti split from hasbro, but maybe since they had the assembly, stencil/paint etc. all the stuff still set-up it was easier to copy-cat than be original... so it's a bit more complicated since bisanti was official hasbro so had the "approved" molds...but I took it to mean it was not sold in stores like the box stuff was

I think Shelti was the first to buy from her = the pink on pink blossom = so maybe others have been chatting with her ?  Is she the one who found the warehouse stash and then was selling at first cheap before finding out the toy folk there were flipping for big bucks here??  Dunno if there are more folk who can help puzzle all this out better :-) I think it's cool/makes sense we now have seen bisanti use three of its poses = CP, shy and running = wonder if there is a squeeker tootsie out there somewhere?

From what I get from Ed, is that she is another one of the people that found out about the ponies, and was getting them from the same lady that Ed was. it got to be a crazy competition in Venezuela between a few different sellers, to get these ponies. The original gal who was selling them to these collectors caught on and started asking more money for them. Ed said that Barbievzla is a Barbie doll collector there Venezuela.

Ed sent me photos of Applejack and yep Hasbro stamp. He and the lady are competitors with eachother, so I hope that she was just mistaken but she should have asked him first.  :lookround:

well that settles it for me then... thanks a mil for posting hasbro on the feet pics -  I cannot imagine that stamp would be allowed without a license.

yeah, I figured her name was barbie - venezuela abbreviated and she did confirm she's more into barbie than MLP and if the two are competitors of sorts well that puts things into a different viewpont as well

good to have the boards to sort his all out = thanks angel

oh and LuvMyBoy = I'd love to see pics of that Ben Franklin pony :-) like the crumpet pose fakies?  (I do have a few of them... been debating keep MOC/customize)

I cannot imagine that stamp would be allowed without a license.

And "pirates" care about such things since when, precisely?
It really doesn't say much, the stamp could as well have been part of the mold they used or whatever.

They're still totally cool and at least in the real Hasbro mold :D
