Colombian ponies?
« on: July 25, 2012, 05:06:10 PM »
I was recently looking at an auction (..more of a BIN) which is still up, and it had a colombian Bowtie. (who is here:)

The price is 109 dollars, and she actually is...tempting to get, but I have a teeennnsyyy question:

Does she actually go for that price in such a harsh condition? x-x I don't wanna get ripped off or anything.
(I mean, I'd be fine with paying like 10 or 20 dollars over, but not like let's say, 50 x-x)

Yes, $100-150 is a standard price range for Colombian ponies in that condition. Its rare to find Colombian ponies in really nice condition, and this condition is pretty typical for a Colombian.

Alright, thanks! n-n Her flaws aren't too bothersome, and her hairdo is pretty cute. <3

Thanks for the info!

aww, I've never seen a Bowtie like this before, I simply love her monochrome like this!
I don't know which decision you made in the end, but I'm sure you'll be a pretty proud pony mom for a quite understandable reason if you choose to BIN ^^
(I wish I could have one like her, but $100 and up is a price I don't think I'll ever be able to pay for  a pony :/ )

i agree with kitkat's price range for her of $100-$150 :bigups:

when the colombian first started coming up for sale they were selling at $800 plus in the same condition (poor hair, rubbed eyes, pindot, mould etc) but the market has dropped a lot with the colombian market for a number of reasons.

check out the nirvana gallery for more variants of the colombian ponies

The market did definitely drop from the initial dizzy heights, but has mostly dropped to a fairly steady $100-150 now. Like  the others have said, they are extremely hard to find in excellent condition, though it seems the babies seem to fare a little better than the adults?
