ID on this accessory/merch ?
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:09:33 AM »

So I stumbled across a completed eBay listing, and saw this thing. I've never seen anything like it, does anyone know what it is? And more importantly, where can I get one?

It appears to have a brushable tail, and looks roughly the same size as the baby pen next to it.

That reminds me a lot of some magnets I used to have.  They weren't pony but I think they were another 80's toy line (Strawberry Shortcake or Care Bears is what I'm thinking is most likely - I don't remember exactly).  They were sort of puffy with two or three small round magnets inside.

ETA: I found a picture of mine - they're Strawberry Shortcake.  I suspect cat's right on the pony though, but they do look very similar.

I think it might once have been a part of clothing - emblem style on where a pocket on a guys shirt would be. I once saw a shell suit style top which had a flat plastic pony on it with a brushable tail - it was either Seashell or Bubbles I dont remember which. I have also seen a picture of a lifejacket which had a similar plastic pony with brushable tail. I dont know how either attached but I think it was a safety pin style at the back on the shell suit top.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

 It reminds me of some rubber baby toys I used to have, but they would make one with a fuzzy tail for babies, would they? They'd probably rip it out and eat it!    The toys in question were, I believe, intended for chewing. Like one of those puffy rubber books they make for babies. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of? But Hathorcat's theory sounds more likely.
Is this pony made of rubber? Or some sort of cloth?
I'll put something here some time
