G1 Black Unicorn commission finished!

Finally finished this guy...he was a real challenge from start to finish!  Firstly, the commissioner wanted a unicorn but really liked the Posey pose so he got a horn transplant from a Moondancer.

Then he got an FBR in black and I started working on the symbol...and working...and working!  It was the most complex painting that I've done and I had to redo them a few times before I was happy enough to call it done.  They still have some shaky lines but it is what it is.

Then I rehaired him in metallic black, flat black and metallic silver, painted his eyes lavender and wound a tiny metallic silver thread around his horn.  I also added tiny Swarovski AB crystals around the base of his horn and glued one on the end of the horn to hide the ends of the silver thread.

And here he is all finished!  Apologies that the images are a little washed out...it's apparently very hard to take pictures of black ponies on super bright sunny days!

Wow, he looks great!  I adore the tiny thread around his horn.  He is such a handsome fellow, I'm sure he will be cherished!
