Went for a little shopping trip and took pics of some of the newest ponies to hit Australian shelves, didn't buy any though (those price tags!). Don't know if this is news to anyone but thought I'd share. ^.^
Warning to anyone wanting the Pony Mania Friendship Blossom Collection, they are a quality control nightmare!

Ooh...I want the first set. I don't care if it's a quality control nightmare. I can either keep them as they are or customize them to suit my needs. :biggrin:

Thanks Tulip! I was thinking of going out to TRU, but never get the time... I'm Definitely going tomorrow after work for that mania set! You go to the south side store though right? I use the one at Aspley, hope they have them!

If I'd seen Daring Doo I'd have snatched her up quick smart! I love the Fashion Styles and can't wait for her to release, fingers crossed down under. :P

Yep, South Side. :) Rarity's Boutique and the Canterlot Castle were advertised in TRU's catalogue, sale starting today, so hopefully they'll be stocking up everywhere.

"Friendship Blossom Collection," eh? Very neat. Think that's the first that one's been seen on shelves. I wonder if the one on the far left is named Lavender Honey or if they just ignored Enterplay.

I really like that castle, but I believe 99 AUD is still around $75 USD and... that's a ridiculous price.
Still, nice to see the new sets popping up!

Ooh that castle is pretty. It would make such a nice display for ponies, but no way I'm paying that much for it.

I have to admit, Ive been disappointed lately with G4 play sets and the prices that come with them. Their all so one sided, flat displays. I keep eyeing the LilCritters playsets at Target. Fully realized playsets with tons of accessories for a reasonable price.
I might get Rarity's boutique if I can find it on sale, but I'll pass on the castle.

No pony mania set at TRU Aspley :'( VERY sad... and I took the bus out there, and then the bus nearly had an accident as I was getting off, and I dropped a shopping bag without realising... worth about $90, and I'm STILL trying to get onto the council about it, but because it isn't worth more than $500, they won't talk to me until tomorrow, urgh! Damn TRU, you RUINED my day! If my ponies had been in that bag, it would've been much bulkier and I would have noticed the darned thing before I pretty much fell off the bus!

It's nice to see that the new Pony Mania stuff is showing up along with the new playsets. With the way things have been released here I'm sort of worried that the states will be skipped over again. :/ Also, those prices are outrageous! All the past TRU "favorites" sets were never more than like $40 before tax. As much as I want all those new ponies there's NO way I'll be paying close to 75 dollars if TRU in the states decides to up the price that much.
I know she' wasn't pictured here but I hate to think what they'll charge for Daring Do. I can imagine she will cost a heck of a lot more than a regular FS just because she's an "exclusive". I'm guessing they'll charge about 25-30 instead of the usual 15-ish most Fashion Styles tend to cost. I'm going to wait for them to go on sale or when I have a nice coupon. If these dolls are anything like all of the previous TRU exclusive sets in my area they will sit on the shelves for years. Literally years... There are still a load of those Shadowbolt Rainbow Dash and those talking white Celestias they're still trying to get rid of.

Anyone know if these are in the UK yet?
Smyths has started listing some new stuff like Rarity's Boutique (http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/fashion-dolls/c-505/my-little-pony/p-13385/my-little-pony-cutie-mark-magic-rarity-booktique-playset/) and Pop Twilight's Castle (http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/fashion-dolls/c-505/my-little-pony/p-13533/my-little-pony-princess-twilight-sparkle-s-kingdom-playset/) and says it should be in stock next week, though they are known to keep pushing dates back so it's not definite. Toys R Us here are terrible at keeping their website up to date though, so it's hard to tell when or if they'll have the exclusive pony mania stuff >_<

Keep in mind that ponies in Australia are usually about twice as much as their cost in the US. A single brushable pony over here is $8-10, whereas in the US I believe they are five bucks a pop? And a regular fashion style pony would range between $19-25 AU. If the set is $70 over here then it should hit American shores at your usual $40, no problem.

Oh man! That's awful! I am sorry, gah. Hopefully the council will do something when they do hear your story.

Oh no! Not another one of those collector sets! I've seen that a few people have gotten these ponies recently but I didn't realize you had to buy them all together. Ugh, Hasbro! I don't have $40 or $50 to drop all at once! *heads reluctantly to ebay*

If anything eBay is worse O.o you'd be paying $20-$25 a pony as compared to $40 for the whole thing :c so you'd be paying in total a little over $100 for all of em if purchased from eBay individually :L
But that's my opinion :lookround:

I just checked recently. And there's multiple auctions up that's "cheap" (ofc until someone drives the price up). I'm a sore loser, so I automatically head for the BIN :P

G4 tends to have 1 US release and 1 international release (the latter packed in all the languages it could possibly need). However even the multi language packages are not guaranteed to hit the countries in which they are packed for - its just a cheap packaging option for manufacturers.

Well I just headed over to the south side store, and got the 2nd last pack there... I had to get the staff to get them down from the top shelf for me, and the girl put the last one back up the top, so anyone heading to that store, look up for the mania packaging with the flowers, that's how I spotted them (I pulled up the photos here and compared). I thought I got the better of the two, but upon close inspection out of package, all bar helia and lavender honey have paint issues, from symbol and eye smudges to stray paint in places it shouldn't be. But new ponies!

That sounds about right. I'd say we might start seeing them pop up over here later this summer/beginning of fall.

Nope. No sign of her yet, and I really searched at both Brisbane locations, because at the first there were no mania ponies, and I really looked EVERYWHERE... and the second they were waaay up on a high shelf (the girl had to get them down with the ladder for me) and I had her throw down a few other boxes for me to look at too, all were equestria dolls and shadowbolt RD and photo finish, though.
