Today, I bought a girl's childhood collection from her - originally she was asking $65 (USD), but she accepted my offer of $50. I couldn't believe my insane luck when I got the box home and was able to see who all I ended up with!

Starting off small(ish)...I'm not sure what these came from, but they look like paper dolls? They're a light cardboard. Does anyone know what they actually are? They're so precious.   ^.^ Also, random flutter wing, haha

I REALLY never thought I would ever manage to get either Mimic or Munchy, because of how much they go for online, and I figured getting them in the wild was an impossible pipe dream!

What makes this even more unbelievable for me is that my group of Twitter friends and I did a Secret Santa - I'd had a brief conversation with one of them before I went to the flea market last month, joking about hoping to find a $2 Mimic. We mostly all play tabletop games, so he thought I was talking about D&D Mimic. I showed him a photo of G1 Mimic from the wiki, and he asked me "well but can she change into a chest and punch adventurers in the face?" I told him she can do whatever she pleases, as she has magical unicorn powers.  Anyway, he ended up being my Secret Santa:

I actually cried when I opened her last night, I was so happy, but as my offer was accepted on the childhood collection lot last night as well, I wanted to wait and only post one brag, lol.

He said when he was assigned me for Secret Santa, he knew he needed to get me this pony because of the conversation we'd had, and he included a D&D mini-figure of a treasure chest Mimic to go with her.  :cool:

Our Mimics look great together!  :newpony: That's right, people, the second Mimic is miiiiiiiiiiiiiine! I have a terrible sister who never does anything for me. I'm putting her up for adoption.

I'm so stoked for you and all of this pony luck you've been having lately (and not just because I get your doubles!) You deserve it bb.  :heart: :heart: :heart:

Huge congratulations on your new additions! Those ponies look like they were lovingly taken care of, and that is so cool that your friend got you Mimic. Blessed is an understatement!

Thanks so much, Sundown! And yes, apart from three of them having some sticky plasticizer issues, they're all in really beautiful condition! She took very good care of her things as a child, it would seem, and I'm certainly grateful!  :frolic:

I just went through the backcards to see what all is in there, and not ALL these ponies' cards are included, but there are some that I wish had been in the lot, like a Dream Beauty, Sand Digger, and one of the rainbow babies! lol. I can't complain, though, since the whole thing is still unbelievable luck!

Hidden inside the backcards was a little paperback book, Spike and the Magic Shoes, and inside the book was another little cardboard doll (a baby sea pony in her float! So cute.)

Also, I have Munchy's backcard, a Buddy L Corp Talk To Me Pony backcard, and a Remco backcard!

And I am so jealous of your Stardazzle :whoa: Mine looks nowhere near that nice. Half of her saddle is orange, and her hair is nearly white. _{At least she came with her key.}

Thanks! I was surprised at how nice all the ponies are in this lot! I think it's safe to say that for the original owner, pony playtime pretty much just involved doing their hair.  :lol:

This Stardazzle will actually be going to my sister, though, since I already have one I found at an antique mall (whose saddle is pink, but pretty grubby, haha). I had to get the key for mine from a seller here, though, lol! I'm glad Emerald won't have to try and track down a key on its own for hers.  ^.^
