What would a "decent" price be?  They do come up on ebay periodically- but usually over $100. 

I think they come up loose too- is the packaging important?

No packaging is not really important.

Of course it's better MIB but eh... one can't be that difficult.
I saw some (already sold) around $75?? that is still "acceptable".

The "then and now" sets don't interest me, nor the "modern looking" dolls ..
But the vintage looking 2 packs.. YES!

Target, Kohls etc are US only shops.. looks like we Europeans will be screwed yet again...

Well you never know- I think Target is called something else in Europe- I forget what...  and at least with MLP exclusives, a lot of store exclusives in the US, also hit UK markets as non-exclusives.  (Did you manage to get the fairly newish vintage looking Strawberry Shortcake in her original outfit? That was a Target exclusive)

I do love the vintage looking dolls coming up- but it is funny to me that once again the designers didn't do quite enough homework- pairing the 1980s party pleaser SSC with the 1991 Lemon- 

The reason given by American Greetings when we asked for using the Orange BLossom party pleaser dress in the anniversary package- was that they actually just had no idea that was not her regular outfit...

It is a shame- they could have asked even one actual SSC collector- but instead apparently their research was by searching ebay. Not the most reliable source of info...
