If you have any. Talking on several threads about my childhood collection inspired me to make this thread. I've tagged G1, but for the younger collectors G2 or G3 collection photos are welcome too. Anyway, here's mine:

Lucky you!
-
Ponybookworm - you were very smart to take pictures of your collection back then, and love the 'My Little Pony' signs set up on the shelf, nice touch!
I wish I had a picture of my whole childhood collection back then, I had around 70. I still have them in my collection today, but it would have been quite the picture to have me sitting in the middle of all my ponies when I was younger. All I have is a picture of me with some of my earliest acquires;

and I used this until it fell apart lol;

i don't have any pictures because im not at home, otherwise i'd pull them out, because i still have all of my childhood ponies! i grew up with g3 and 4, because i was born in the 2000s.
i had a lot of g4s that really werent special, other than the 2013 sparkly target wysteria and pinkie pie. i didnt have many g3s though. i had royal bouquet, name on leg pinkie pie, and periwinkle, along with that rc scooter with scootaloo. i don't still have that bc my old dog, bella chewed scootaloo and i eventually lost the scooter. i did buy it again recently!
i liked g3 and 4 a alot, so at some point i discovered g1 and fell in love! i told my mother this, and i got an ebay lot for christmas. shout out to her for picking a good one, theyre all in great shape! the ones in there were: lickety split, sugarberry, up up and away, applejack, heatthrob, baby glory, bouquet, curly locks, parasol, and firefly.
i consider heartthrob to be my first g1 because she was the first one i pulled out of the package!
i also had a giant g3 coloring book with stickers that i cant find online anywhere please help,, somehow i found old stock at country junction in 2019(i think its a PA thing. called 'the world's biggest general store' but the actual products are.. meh. theyre old stock mostly. theres interactive things tho which are cool. animatronic cow head!) somehow i found that coloring book there and i was so excited finding a piece of my childhood! i got it immediately!! it was moldy. sad. its giant and bound in thick cardboard, if you know. theres a picture of a pony taking a bath in it and thats all i remember.

I don't have childhood pictures, but I have all of my ponies so I could make a group pic when I'll have the time.
The castle is awesome and I love to see old pictures of your collections.^^

Here's the only one from my childhood... I'm sad because I do not remember wich ponies I got in this stable and I've got no clues.

Such a tease to only be able to see the tops of the stable! Seeing both of you staring intently at which ever ponies you did get with the stable shows how excited you were to start playing :)
-
Oh yes, I really loves my pony stable!
I didn't get it new, it was a gift from a coworker of my mother whose girls didn't played with it anymore. I'm a 90's child, so it was already an old fashioned toy

Also wonderful how both of you kept them in such great condition!!!

Loving these cute pictures! The ponies look very beloved, like they are carefully played with :)
-
Aw these pics are ah-dorable!! Keep 'em coming! I have some somewhere, probably, no idea where lol!
-
Everyone's photos are so sweet!! I love seeing everyone's childhood photos, it's so wonderful that you all have these precious keepsakes. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of my childhood ponies :( I've often lamented not having at least one photo of them, I really wish I could see my old herd. It's so special to have these types of childhood snapshots.
-
Its so much fun seeing all your childhood photos, thanks for sharing them! Unfortunately the only photos I have with ponies in them are all at my parents' place...over a hundred miles away, so I can't get them right now.

I don't have any pictures of my entire childhood collection (it never occurred to me to do that as a kid!), but I have a few that feature my ponies, especially the early ones.
These are from my sixth birthday party:

@FernMariposa919 - amazing pictures of your parties! I never had MLP themed birthdays as a child.
And I second the sentiment...who thinks to take pictures of their collection as a kid? We were all too busy playing with them lol
-
That's so sweet, love your pony birthdays!
Absolutely, I never thought of taking pictures of my ponies back then (even though I've been a hobby photographer as long as I remember - I think my dad gave me my first camera when I was about 7 yo), I only have photos of me playing train guard and with my children's post office.

I've just had a look at the post office photo and I realised you only see the counter and a cardboard delivery van, which is a shame. I thought the cute, tiny stamps, the toy money and envelopes are also visible, but they seem to be behind the counter.
But I love the fact that the same publisher still sells an updated version of the same post office today - 36 years later!

Sure, we don't want to derail the childhood collection thread after all. :)

Thanks! I had three Pony parties in a row...my 6th, 7th, and 8th birthdays. I didn't have any ponies on display for my eight birthday, I think the only photo I have from it is my Dairy Queen ice cream birthday cake that had Surprise on it.
-
I found a pic from when I was 8 or 9 playing in front of my ponies, I'm wearing this totally 80's tunic-shirt thing and those hideous coke-bottle glasses with the hot pink 80's frames that I was unfortunate enough to wear prior to getting contacts...I'd love to post it but I'm too technologically challenged to figure out how to operate a 3rd-party photo hosting site, so I'll just have to live vicariously through all of your childhood photos, I guess! I love seeing all of these!
-
So I was at my parents' house the other day going through a photo book and found some more pics of me with ponies. They're not as epic as my pony birthdays, but thought I would share anyway:
So here's the only photo of me with a pony (and the astronaut pony wear) still in the package! I can guarantee you after this photo was taken, they were opened in a matter of seconds! In case you can't tell (since my stuffed Benji dog is kind of covering her up), that's Hippity Hop:

Even though Paradise's head is cropped off, I thought this was an interesting photo since you can see the package:

I got Paradise for Easter, so here's a little later in the day. There's actually a few other pics of me holding her that day, so apparently I didn't put her down! I'm pretty sure my parents chose her because she has red hair like me, though hers is much more vivid!

This is me and my cousin (who was in high school when this was taken) playing with my ponies on a summer vacation at a lake house we had rented.

This is my 7th birthday, opening the Satin Slipper Ice Cream Shoppe, a gift I was well aware I was getting thanks to my friend letting the cat out of the bag, but that didn't make it any less exciting!
visitors can't see pics , please register or login
This is my 9th birthday where you can see I got Dainty Dahlia and it's hard to see, but I also got the Scrub-a-Dub-Tub. I did a ranking of the G1 playsets and ranked that last. In fact, this is what I said about it:
Someone please tell me what possessed me to buy this? Yes, I bought this with my own money, my hard-earned allowance! It’s not like I got this as a gift. I guess I thought it was super cute and had to have it.
Well, guess what? Turns out it WAS a gift, so I didn't spend any money on it! It's funny how we remember things.

@FernMariposa919 Wow! So many pony pictures, you are so lucky to have these moments saved in photographs...you reeeealy liked My Little Pony

I don't have any of my entire collection, which was around 50 ponies plus Paradise Estate and the Perfume Palace, but here are some I've found of me with ponies.
